The Rough Legged Buzzard is still at Toft [pictures included]
its been here for at least 60 days since it was first noticed ..
First, this mornings pics, I was talking to Mark on the mobile
about the Pod of Orcas in Yell sound, when I noticed the
R.L.Buzzard flying across the meadow, I told Mark to hang on
till I took pictures of it .. and took these ..

What a horrible day to be birdwatching .. I spent two hours
looking for the R.L.Buzzard but I thought I seen it up on the
high hill, but as I was'nt 100 percent it was it, then it did'n
       count ..
I then left and took pics of a rather smart Redshank .. I then
did a spell of watching out for Whales but did'nt see any, there
was mist covering Yell sound, then it was home into my cosy
       kitchen ..
       Redshank ..

The Rough Legged Buzzard is still at Toft It was very active
today, which surprized me, with the weather were having ..
One image of it on the ground, was difficult to get, until I set
my camera to manual focus, I think i'll need to get a APO F4.5
EX DG HSM, I know there are expensive, but warehouse express are
selling them for £3.398 .. recommended SIGMA price £4.800 .. so
I think i'll get one .. unless anyone else has a good suggestion
       .. [help]
I also saw two Goosanders at Laxobiggin burn, three grabbed pics
       of them [male & female]
       R.L.Buzzard .. todays images ..
Manual focus because of the power post ..

No sightings of the Rough Legged Buzzard today
Well I'm not surprized that I did'nt see it, it had more sense
       than me..
The rain today was horizontal with the gales today ..
I did look for other birds, all I saw was a few ducks and a
       couple o gulls ..
Now its snowing, the weather advisory has put out a warning to
expect heavy snow for Shetland & Orkney, with gale force winds.
All together it was a terrible day, with the exception of my
sandwitches, they were really nice lol ..

The Rough Legged Buzzard is still at Toft
It was really cold this morning, but i'm as daft as a brush lol
I spent three hours watching it on and off, hopeing it would get
close to me, but it did'nt.. I also seen two grouse and two
       mountain hares.
I kept the car engine on to keep warm, it was 0. degrees outside
but no wind, which helped ..
I ordered the new 500mm lens and 1.4x tele/converter this
morning, so hope it improves my pics, i'm sure it will lol ..
       Now for the images..
       Near the radar mast.

No sightings of the Rough Legged Buzzard today..
I'm really not surprized considering this bad weather.. hail,
snow, and high westerly winds, the R.L.Buzzard was probably
       sheltering somewhere ..
Now some good news, my order for the new lens plus the 1.4x
telecon,, has arrived at warehouse express, so should be with me
about the middle of next week..
And more good news, i've just heard that a Sea Eagle has been
seen at Airds meadow and a male Smew [rspb] at Lochwinnoch
Strathclyde, which i'll spend most of my holidays at..
       george .
       Edited.
After I left the R.L.Buzzard site, I took these, Greylag & Shag
       ..
