it seems like the invisible hand went on vacation in europe
atleast, where there have been massive competing clans for a
decade.

What's your point, Amir?
How does existing archaic massive competing clans for a decade,
which are symbols of quantity, compare to my, stick to your clan
and others will come, which is a symbol of quality?
Check this out. If an active clan rallied up from time to time
for a public game and gathered 1 to 2 noobs per game you must
DEMOLISH them, but don't discourage them from playing again.
If they aren't interested in it THEN THEY JUST ARENT, but if
they are they are likely to stick around.
If they stick around then those noobs become progressively
better and become pros eventually.
Let's say we have two clans with each clan having 10 active
sheep taggers. What will happen if both of them make a game at
the same time, but playing with their own clan?
Both gain 4 noobs summed together. THATS 4 PROSPECT NEW SHEEP
TAGGERS.
Sheep tag isn't as alive as it has been because of the lack of
newcomers as it always has been. WC3 is off the shelves now. I
still manage however to find people that don't know what they
want to play. You can tell cause theyll be so noob at the game
its almost as if he was a noob to WC. I'm talking about the
other public games I play.
The downfall of ST are within its leaders. As you can see the
most revered are phasing out of ST as it always has been.
I'm not bashing competition gameplay because that is obviously
what ST is about, but I am bashing those responsible for not
creating new competition.
Drew, Chaise, Sidey, CMK, Shoop, etc have all failed to do one
simple task: be active in the public sector of ST or give off
the clans to those most prospect to prosperity.
They may have tried, but it is a failed sign of leadership.
I've been seeing new st players come and go for YEARS ON END and
I've recruited many of my own prospects to which I can't name
for I never played with them IH. There may still be some
around.
I've seen prospect chiefs never given the title. Cel and Chakra
for example.
Something that would make Chaise and Drew quit: having active ST
clans and a Chief to pass it on to.
The oldies that stick around don't do it for the fuck of it. We
want to leave ST a well off game.
I always come back hoping for a good game of ST or two but I
never can access them. It's very inconvenient. I leave you
with this.
Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

ST died because WC3 died. People don't buy ten year old games
unless you're from Romania.
Are we ever going to get beyond this? How many ancient,
non-money ST communities have survived out of those that started
off? How many Footies clans you seen lately? What about Tree Tag
or Kodo Tag? Where are the Snipers clans and RPG clans? What of
Angle Arena and World War/Civ clans?
They are either gone or very small. TFT since 2008.

If you'd follow what I say you would see new players. WC3 isn't
dead because it's obviously alive and well. If you'd read what
I said you'd understand why those communities died off.
Look at what makes activity. newcomers, pros, leaders. If you
continue to try to acquire those actively you will see more
activity. You haven't tried my plan. You've been limited of
all three of those sources, Chakra.
The character and moral differences are so extreme in the ST
community that we are all divided instead of cooperating.

Yeah, WC3 having 10% of the population as it did five years is
"alive and well." I wish I had numbers from 2004, would really
show how much the decline has been. The worst part is that the
areas that have the most decline and least new players are those
we would target: Americas, followed by Europe.
We've ALL tried campaigns to recruit players. I had over 2000
played public games in 2011 or w/e (When the Tacca bot was
around). It did relatively nothing.

Ah but you forgot to do something, Chakra. You also didn't read
what I said either.
It takes pros to recruit and make people interested. You can
have all the hostbots you want, but if they don't have guides
then where will they end up? It makes for a very uncertain
future for new prospects to come in.
Sheep tag isn't something you just come to understand through
the first game. How did the first sheep tagger bring upon all
STERS? He was a mentor to those he brought interest in the
game.
How did the 2nd generation of STERS come to be? They were
mentored.
You didn't have active clan meetings to bring about new STers.
You just cared about your own enjoyment. I'm not saying you're
not allowed to enjoy your own free time, but you're not allowed
to argue against me because you don't have the experience of you
and your clan trying to raise the amount of players in an
effective way.
Shoop, don't get off topic. If you have a personal problem go
make a thread about it.

What? I played those two thousand games. Tens of thousands were
hosted.
There was no "first sheep tagger." It is like saying there was a
"first human."
Most of my friends, which weren't part of the first generation,
weren't mentored: we competed against each other. We weren't
even given hints on how to play better.
Do you agree that WC3 activity has been decimated 22 times or
not?
Also, we're incredibly off topic, but the posts stopped and I
don't foresee the topic every returning so. :/

It takes more than just you, Chakra. I've said this over and
over.
Yes there was a first sheep tagger, call it the proto-sheep
tagger. The one who brought it into the masses.
I agree ST activity is very low compared to its history but
you're just not eligible to say you've done your very best.
Just give this opinion two days a week. Chiefs, go make your
clan message two dates every week and specify what time and
which time zone they will follow. Get some public games going
in your clans, but fill up with 10 clan players before you host
it public. Full games grab attention of prospect gamers.

I'm not saying ST activity is low, I'm saying WC3 activity is
low. I argue that because WC3 activity is low, because it's
activity is declining, and because those few who are joining WC3
are unlikely to play with us/get somewhat OK at the game, ST has
near-zero chance of surviving on WC3.
There was no "proto-sheep tagger." Sheep Tag is a game adapted
from another game, which chains it's history up to other game
clients, notably StarCraft. Many maps were molded together to
form the current brand of ST.
