You can ban the spammers, but you can't stop their bots. By
privatizing the clan= they have no power, and outsider kids like
Justin/Melwin are already out of the equation.
Meanwhile ghod / hawkys can be in the channel, and not be able
to spam it. They will be forced into submission. There are no
loopholes. If everyone supported the clan = mass activity in a
SPAM-LESS channel so there are no interruptions and more
diversity.
What's sheeptaggernep gonna do when he joins and can't do squat
besides play and chatten. The same goes for the rest.
If kids see any problem join the clan because of shamans and
other dumb reasons, I think it completely reasonable that we
have 0 shamans.
And even if shaman's do act up if they do something wrong report
it.
There is no counter argument to this.

Why would it be unrealistic to ban them? In the past maybe. We
really have one channel now, and you're shaman of it. Banning
them would be the best thing we could do.
I already went over this a thousand times, and every time I keep
getting mongo arguments in response. "No banning them wont work,
they will keep spam with their bots" with that argument you
forget the most fundamental reason people like Ghod/Hawkys have
to spam - They're insecure, attentionseeking 14 years olds. Take
away their attention and they go somewhere else after 5 minutes.
In addition. A permanently private clan carries with it a ton of
significant detrimental effects. The most important being that
cross-clan communication and travel is completely eliminated.
This is what made STC fun in the past. People from different
clans entering the channel you're in momentarily. Bringing fresh
ideas and new topics to discuss. Drama, or flamewars in one
channel and everyone will immediately go there to enjoy the
show.
Telling people to go same clan wont make it so. Multi-clan
system is deeply rooted in European ST culture and history and
definitely has it's merits for a successful community (compare
with StH, for example)
Conclusion? Ban Hawkys, ban Ghod, ban spambotters --> by banning
spambotters we soon wont have a problem with spambotters..

The community has been spammed for years, now. Will they really
go away after 5 minutes?
Who's to say after we ban hawkys he won't spend the rest of his
days in osas spamming "STC Into the GROUND".
Meanwhile instead of his bots we could have just him in the
channel speaking only so much as he could on his own.
Are you saying we should just accept the spam? We will have a
even WORSE problem.
Just because you can't get 100 % community into the clan doesn't
mean you can't get close. Like last time.
In fact last time we only failed because it was disbanned. All
that was left were some final key steps. Priving the clan and
isolation of the rest.

wanna rejoin the rest of the community, while also providing

No actually, YOU are the one advocating accepting spam. YOU are
the one saying to capitulate to spammers and their friends.
I am the one advocating (since 2013) to ban spammers and
spambotters. And yes, everyone with 2 IQ and more than
kindergarden insight in human psyche realizes that these issues
will stop once a permanent ban are put in place. There is no
reason to spam our channel if you never have access to it, nor
do you reap the benefits of spamming (people like you giving
attention and licks)
In addition, no you didn't succeed last time.. You had 10% of
the community in your clan and you didnt even touch on the main
problems with priv clan. No cross-clan communication/travel or
revisits from oldschool players.
Idea is toilet and rejected.
Instead of advocating to cut off our limbs to avoid getting
poisoned why can't you for once in your life advocate to kill
the snake biting us? Stop be so ****ing spineless, FOR ONCE.
PS: AND YES, THE COMMUNITY HAS BEEN SPAMMED FOR FUCKING YEARS -
What have YOU your FRIENDS or people LIKE YOU done about it? NOT
A SINGLE FUCKING THING. All you do is LICK Ghod/Hawkys and come
up with MORONIC ideas to kill the community faster
