Sheep Tag Relapse 1.0.0
HTML http://www.epicwar.com/maps/251801/
HTML http://www.epicwar.com/maps/251801/
TLDR: A new approach to revolution-type sheep tag primarily
based off taking away consumable items and making them abilities
for separate shepherd classes, making mana monitoring a
priority. Expect bugs and balance issues. If you dont like it,
use -revo mode.
The general idea behind this map is making Shepherding a bit
more dynamic and fun (i.e. creating more than one path spending
gold - endur->scythe->cloaks).
There are two main modes to the map, the first is the intended
future of the map, the second is more of a transition mode, as
the normal mode is likely going to be fairly unbalanced for the
first few versions, simply due to the large number of changes.
Relapse Mode
This mode is active by default.
In this mode, Shepherds can choose between 3 classes: Cutter,
Finisher, and Guardian. Each class has 4 hero abilities to
choose from. The first ability for each class is an improved
form of mirror image, the next 3 abilities, many of which are
based off consumable items already in the map (which have been
removed, excluding mana potion, speed, and sheep), vary by
class. All classes start at 3 hit, though abilities should
easily balance this.
Cutter specializes in forcing isolations, it has abilities that
sacrifice mana for increased damage, beam, and its improved
mirror image deals 25% damage and lasts longer, though moves
slower, and cannot kill sheep.
Finisher specializes in killing sheep quickly, but sacrifices
sustained damage to do so. Finisher has an ability that
temporarily increases attack and movement speed, an ability that
instantly destroys the farm behind the one in front of you
(Shepherd [] [] - boxes are farms, second farm dies),
applying a slight slow to very close sheep, and its mirror image
ability increases the range and speed of imaging, allowing the
image to go over two farms.
Guardian specializes at preventing spirits from being saved, and
comes equiped with the ability to instantly teleport spirits to
its position, the ability to, after being slowed by a frost
farm, take the slow and throw it as a missile similar to a frost
farm attack, slowing sheep and damading farms, iron golem, and
its mirror image ability summons two images for a significantly
longer duration.
Revolution Mode
Activated by typing -revo (like -switch or -vamp), and works
with any other mode (such as -switch or -vamp).
This mode should be largely the same as revo, though cloaks have
been removed, and golem cost and duration has been significantly
reduced, with the ability to upgrade to iron golem for 150 gold.
Other Assorted Changes
These changes are present in both modes:
Runes have been removed.
Sheep are invulnerable for 3 seconds after being saved, but
cannot save other spirits for the duration.
When a sheep dies, their farms turn black, then die in a wave
from the middle. AKA, farms in the middle die in about 1.5
seconds, a farm in the corner takes about 7 seconds. This might
cause lag, though I tested it with 1000 farms and only lost a
few frames per second.
Saving Farms now disappear after 12 seconds, but still generate
income. Income is reset upon dying.
Multikills now grant 10 gold, stacking, for each bonus kill
(double = 10 gold, triple = 20, etc.), and give an additional
second per kill (12 seconds to get double, 13 to get triple,
etc.)
The region spirits are allowed to be in is highlighted by a
light blue line (similar to the red laser of chakra revo). If
any part of the green selection circle on your wisp is inside of
the light blue line, you will not be teleported to the middle.
-balance X: Starts the game with fair teams, based off sheep
count and each players average combined times (the average
combined time of sheep team will roughly equal the average
combined time of all players).
-Auto X: Instead of repeatedly typing, for example, -smart 3,
the host can type -auto 3, to repeatedly start the game with the
same settings. Use negative numbers to use balance instead of
smart.
There are a few more stat tracking commands: -td (total deaths),
-fc (farm count, both how many you have built, and how many of
your farms shepherds have killed), -ctimes (combines -stimes and
-times), -ftimes (-stimes that doesnt count time from being
saved), -ptimes X (your total round time with each player), -sp
(like -sc, but excludes rounds afked), and any -time command can
have -avg in front (ex: -avgtimes) to divide the time by -sp, so
afking a round doesn't ruin your times.
There is probably some more stuff I'm forgetting, but this is
bordering on novel length so I'm not going to worry about it.
Again, keep in mind that this is a test map, and will likely
have balance issues and bugs, possibly even major ones, though
-revo mode should be perfectly playable.
