The city-state of Haven is a neutral palamecian city-state, and
part of the greater Palamecian pseudo-nation, having been built
near a river. Its appearance is matched by the backdrop of clear
blue skies which have helped shape the city to what it is today.
The climate these skies brought were of great importance, but
they were also influential when it came to architectural designs
as the vast majority of buildings have been built to great
heights, as if to try and reach the blue skies above them.
Citizens enjoy a large amount of legal benefits and welfare
unheard of in the rest of Palamecia, including the right to
protest, vote in democratic elections, marriage equality and
free education. However, the city is, in all of Myrrh, the
most-taxed one to have ever existed. The majority of the locals
, and is used to increasingly build up the city's architecture.
Like other palamecian nations, conscription is compulsory and
any attempt to avoid this results in physical punishment and
imprisonment.
Private industries and businesses are a staple in Haven and have
a strong connection to the government itself, with the markets
often directly effecting legislation. The rapid technological
advances and the, resulting in it being one of the few cities
where automobiles are actually common, along with street lights,
and new-found gadgets such as Kameras and Transmitors.
It's this multicultural identity that has truly left its mark.
Hundreds of diners, bars and coffeehouses offer a plethora of
culinary choices and those who feel hungry for something else
can enjoy concerts, theaters, an amusement park or one of the
many other recreational venues. New cultures have left their
mark not just on the city's people, but also upon the city's
identity. What historically was a city of little contrast has
grown into a multicultural hub and it's this that unites the
half-a-million million people to this day.
