Tales of Lardus

We return to Lardus in the Holy See. It was time to begin his
great mission.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The eradication of all demons within the
continent.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: There are exactly seventy-two demons on the
planet at any given time.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Through his great intelligence network,
Lardus found that exactly twenty-four existed on South
Palamecia, the most of any continent on Myrrh.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The Grail had given him a mission, and the
tools. It was now a matter of simply going across the continent
to wipe them. He had packed and prepared everything he needed.
Lardus Did lardushave any plan or tatic in mind...(
Lardus Got up from his seat grabbing his holy cane and walking
towards the exit of his room , he would call for ryuk by his
side stateing that it was time to begin the plan
((OOC)) Cassandra :: By using the Grails power and his
impressive Exorcism abilities, along with his holy spells--
there would be few demons capable of stopping him.
Specifically..
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Daemon Ba'al, Daemon Paimon and Daemon
Belial.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Initially he wanted to go do this with
Cassandra, but..
Lardus :: *Sighs* she iis suppose to be returning to her
dutys... yet i havent seen her in a while i sure hope cassandara
is safe
Lardus Shook his head now was not the time to let emotion get in
his way he could pursue cassandara another time, for now he had
to eliminiate the demons exiting the church he would set off for
the nearest demon he had already gathered intel on where a goo
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Deep in the Hills above Rebellion, he would
find two demons. Minor, easy ones that would take no effort to
defeat.
Lardus good majority of the demons stayed he just needed to head
towards the destination and begin the cleansing his chaos seal
of sin could also act as a compass allowing him to detect great
amount of sin energy as well as negative
Lardus opens his palms releaseing a radiant light that would
expode in glinsing light destorying the two deamons
((OOC)) Cassandra :: A flash of light. A shrill scream of pain,
and ashes. And again.
Lardus Made sure to finish the two off by excorisicing their
spirtts returning them to the underworld and allowing them to be
reborn again hopefully as someone better in their next life he
would give a small bow and pray for their safe return
Lardus Dusted himself off and headed towards the next
destination their were still demons about
((OOC)) Cassandra :: He would annihilate every last one of them.
No speck of their evil could remain in South Palamecia. No
stragglers would remain.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus journeyed from the Hills through the
Forest, to find the next three. One of them would be Astaroth, a
powerful demon but one that Lardus had already planned for.

Lardus :: Astaroth you have slaughetered many inncoent, stole
from the good and plundered from the humans for this i shall
judge your very soul and sanctufiy it
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus would quickly come across the other
two demons on the way that he was searching for, together in a
hut near the outstretch of the forest.
Lardus Casted his holy magic a a cross would come from above
shining. burning and purify all within its content the hut would
be utterly destoryed
((OOC)) Cassandra :: As Lardus casts his holy magic, he soon
realized that it somehow failed. Of course; they warded the
building.
Invalid Command! I'm calling the CIA on you! (musi)
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Crafty demons. He would have to do this
with his own hands.
Lardus :: !
Lardus :: Well... i suppose trickery is of the devil
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The door was for some reason unlocked.
Lardus !Covered himself in a faint light barrier as he would
enter the door guess he had to venture fowrth the unknown
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Barging into the hut, Lardus would find the
two demons cowering behind a sort of table. They were fused with
human bodies, though the old hosts were long gone.
Lardus :: ... Such a unholy sight
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Half-Demon :: T-The Holy See's pope..
Lardus :: You two demons you should have known god would pass
judgement on you
Lardus :: How much evil did you think you could honestly get
away with
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Half-Demon :: Please! If one of us must go,
spare him! (The half-demon points to the other one)
Lardus :: It digusts me that you would even try to mimick human
behvaior and emotion
Lardus raises his hand towards Half- Demon
Lardus :: demons arent capable of anything but evil and
destorying
Lardus Looks over to the other demon just to check him out
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The second one rushes infront of the other,
spreading their arms in a protective manner. "That's not true at
all." they say monotonely, with not a hint of inflection.
Lardus :: LIAR
Lardus :: YOU KILLED THE PEOPLE HERE
Lardus :: HOW CAN I FORGIVE YOU
Lardus :: YOU TOOK HUMAN LIFES
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Half-Demon B :: We did no such thing! We
were fused to these bodies by force; they were a pair of
lunatics planning to kill eachother and make off with our power.

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Half-Demon B :: They failed. We were bound
to them. Became half-demons. However, through this, we found
love.
Lardus Paused for a moment... *did these two gain... human
qualitys by fuseing... is what they say really true... *
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- The Grail disdains your weakness.

Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Who is to say when they might once again
relapse?

Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Demons cannot truly cherish love and
emotion. It will eventually fade from them.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- All potential demonic threats must be
eliminated.
Lardus Released a ray of light towards Half Demon A blasting its
body in the ever eternal light
Lardus :: This is rightnesouness ... this is how things should
always be and remain
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- These are demons. Truly evil characters.
There is no need to hold back!
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The second half-demon jumps infront of the
first one, taking the ray directly as it incinerates half their
body, killing them instantly.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- The world is going to be a better place
if you kill them. Kill them all.
Lardus Takes a zamsua pose as he excorises the second one
chanting rapadily and in tounge
Lardus :: May you find rest and redemption in the next life
Lardus(Ulitmatex) whispers ----> Kill is such a strong word...
arent im purifying them and giving them a second chance...
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The other one runs and dodges the spell
narrowly, desperately trying to escape as it makes terrified
sounds.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Demons cannot be given a second chance.
They are pure evil; to purify them is to rid their existence
from this world.
Lardus :: You cant run from this baptism
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Thus decreed the Holy Grail.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- They will return, of course. The
seventy-two demons always return in some other form; but they
will simply be purged once again when they do.
Lardus Runs after it firing rays of light at the creature
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Half-Demon :: Please! Don't, mercy! Mercy!
Lardus :: Never!
Lardus :: you killed in your last time
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus incinerates the second one with
relative ease.
Lardus :: you did it again this life

Lardus :: atleast you can have soltiude in nothingness
Lardus(Ulitmatex) whispers ----> Than... what is the point to
this all.. if the cycle will just contiune
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus couldn't let this effect him. This
was pious. This was the job he was given; to fight an endless
war for the sake of all humanoids.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus was on the right side. It was that
simple.

Lardus Marchs on towards the next demons he still had to finish
his mission

((OOC)) Cassandra :: This is the hammer of Light!

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus decided to delay his visit to
Astaroth; it would be more effective to wipe out the remaining
demons first. And so, bfrom Boloska, to Dawnvale and Nagoya-- he
went.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: In a Hotel, he found Paimon.
Lardus Deletus the spawnfry demons

((OOC)) Cassandra :: The light of justice came to them.

((OOC)) Cassandra :: On the field, it was Agares themself who
came for Lardus. "This is what I am to you; denying it means
nothing, right?"
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Behind Agares laid a batallion of troops
from Dawnvale. Villainous.
Lardus :: You are nothing but evil, evil has shape and takes on
many forms it trys to spread it lies and toxic
Lardus :: ALl of you have been tainted
Lardus :: you all must be purifyed
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Agares :: I am evil. But evil spawned from
hatred such as yours! Now die, insect!
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Agares fired a beam of darkness at Lardus!
Lardus fIRES his own beam of light back pushing it back!
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus easily overpowers Agares,
annihilating them in a ray of light.
Lardus floats in the air as as a lumient figure taking on a
chirstanity pose his glow and radiant would sweep over the army
incernateing them in his holy light

((OOC)) Cassandra :: The possessed troops are annihilated as
well, as Lardus continued on.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: There was no hope for those people; the
evil had already tainted them.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Now onward, Lardus! You must purify these
lands! The pious look to you!
Lardus(Ulitmatex) whispers ----> Why does it seem... almost as
if none of these demons want to fight me
Lardus marchs onward but in the back of his head a small thought
occured *i feel as if i could have saved those people if ... put
in more effort was there really no hope for them*
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- They fear your utter power. Demons
aren't humans-- they lack the virtues such as bravery.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- They are demons, despicable creatures
without penance, fair game .
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Keep going, Lardus! With the Grail at
your side, you are always in the right.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Seven.
Lardus :: Thats right... the holy grail is goodness itself it
could never be wrong !

you had to try to not laugh in joy. This was divine work!

peppered wings, they came for Lardus' head.

attacks. "You are far too gone, an aeon of divine madness."

Lardus :: its only natural i stop a hell spawn like you

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Ba'al :: Thus, the only possibility for you

Rebellion and the Holy See.
Lardus Forms a hammer of divine light in his hand enlargeing it
high before brining down divine judgement on him
Lardus :: I AM THE HOLY SEE
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus was smart. While he prepared for
this conquest, he used his intelligence to trick the evil
daemons into a non-aggression pact.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: None of them saw this coming.

The vines grab Lardus, thorns pricking them as Ba'al begins to

The glyph expands, as a large, electric sound can be heard..

about to finish them off, you hear words through your ears.

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Ba'al shakes, trying to escape Lardus with
its one hand. "No! I won't go through it again!"

Lardus Uses more strenght empowering the weakened ba'al ripping
out the demons eyes out by plucking them with reaaltive ease

sound that brings joy to Lardus. Another demon rejected.

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Paimon went much teh same way, although it
attempted to use its beauty on Lardus; to no effect.
Lardus makes short work of palmon
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The only one left now was Astaroth.
Lardus Was actually becoming more and more pleased by killing
demons it was a eletricifying feeling that shocked his entire
body it could only be decisrbed as bliss and escassy
Lardus Headaed for astaroth the last one that was left the
mightest and greatest sinner
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth would, in a straight fight, likely
slaughter Lardus. It was the strongest demon in all of
Palamecia, and it was uniquely immune to the power of the light.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: However, Lardus was not one to simply fight
with power. For this crusade against the demons, he would have
to fight with all he could; for the sake of the pious.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: And Astaroth was a demon of deals. It was
time for him to perform his last deal.
Lardus Would arrive towards asatroth location ready to purge
this trickster of a demon
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth lived deep in the snowy recesses
near Cuzma Ruin's. A laboratory where he experimented with
people and monsters, attempting to create new abominations.
Lardus :: As sinful as ever creating digraces and acts agaisnt
god
Lardus :: he deserves to be cruisfiyed
Lardus Would bEGIN nevoigateing though the snowy recess once he
arrived at the labtory would begin to kill the abnonations
showing them no love or mercy only slaughter
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Passing by some discarded corpses inside of
the lair of snow, Lardus slaughtered the living ones.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: More and more were there, though.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus had heard tale of similar
experiments going on in Radio, far out of his domain. This world
was sick.
Lardus :: It makes me sick to my stomache that evil such as
thing gos by and contiues this place ... needs to be destoryed
and this world needs to be purifyed in a clenasing this world
needs a hero
Lardus :: i shall save them all
Lardus Kept on killing the living ones as he made his way though
the place
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Lardus eviscerates the abominations in a
hard-fought battle. It was the seventh night of constant travel,
fighting and monster slaying and truth be thold, Lardus was
mostly running on fumes now. But he had reached Astaroth.

Lardus :: Reveal yourself demon!
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: The man himself has arrived.
Lardus :: Of course

Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- This was false. Astaroth cared for one
other thing.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) whispers ----> oh
Lardus(Ulitmatex) whispers ----> what could a demon care for
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: I've spent years researching
what makes mortal beings tick. What other creatues live for. It
took me many years, of course, and countless bodies monster,
human, bold, pantera, xeno but eventually..
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: I found out the answer. And
since then I've spent countless weeks in this laboratory trying
to make my own. A child of my own. Demons cannot have children,
you see, unless they are possessing a human host.

Lardus :: Digusting you dare Mock us humans by tring to
replicate us
Lardus :: I SHALL PURIFY IT
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: I tried many times to have
children, but each failure only made me ever angrier. I had to
kill the mates of the bodies I possessed too, to cover my
tracks. It was a lot of work.
Lardus :: YOUR ABONATION SHALL NOT EXIST NO MORE
Lardus :: IT IS A ACT AGAISNT GOD
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: Each of these creations is
imperfect; not a child of mine but closer and closer to what I
want. You must know what it feels like to want something, right?
Lardus thinks back to cassandara a small flashback
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: Demons -can- carry those same
feelings, even if you believe it to only be fleeting and a
replication, yes?
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: Well, I want a child, more then
anything.

reports and info-gathering do confirm what hes saying. He wants

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth :: Even if its not real, of course
I'm still going to go for it. Yes, we are governed by the same
ties of want and desire.
Lardus Begins to fall his supposely plan that he plannned for a
while now

you hands are tainined and covered in blood

Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Astaroth's mate was a man by the name of
Calefrid. One of your disciples, actually.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Consorting with demons would normally be
an instant expulsion from the Holy See, however you did of
course need some way of taking down Astaroth. And Calefrid is
the key.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- For now their life is within your hands.
The demon of deals would have to make a deal; and you already
knew what its answer would be.
Lardus :: You should know demon
Lardus :: I have your pershish Calefrid
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- You'll threaten to have Calefrid slain
for his transgressions against the natural order, right infront
of Astaroth! Hacked into little bits.
Lardus(Ulitmatex) <---- Unless of course, he agrees to have his
soul willingly exorcised back.
Lardus :: He is currently locked up for crimes agaisnt the holy
see if im not to return and give back a certain password he
shall BE HANGED AND EXCUTED FOR HIS TRANSGRESSIONS
Lardus :: that is unless

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Astaroth ceased with their quick speaking,
and had a look of fear. That's what Lardus wanted to see this
whole time.

in the room of where calefrid was

your current state; but since demons replicate the emotions and
feelings, they will also replicate the reactions.

Now that the purging of the daemons was done, Lardus had to
fulfill another of his duties.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: The punishing of the sinners was done; now
he had to aid, help and support the pious people of Rebellion.
Hard times had economically come open the peoples, and he had
learned of the horrible suicides at the Heartbound Factories.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: For this, he had the assistance of one of
his cardinals, Gadivichi. A rough, ragged man who to many would
seem to be the polar opposite of priestly values; but there was
truly a wonderful man beneath; one who praised the deities.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Together, they would first pay a visit to
the local homeless.
Lardus humble walked the streets of the homless giving them food
and minor blessings he would pray for them to find sucess and
wealth it was all part of his plan apparently so that he could
gain more attention and followers
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadivichi took out a cigarette, lighting it
up as the two visitted the homeless, giving them prayers and
rites for good fortunes. "How long has it been since we last
worked together directly, Lardus? Or, do you prefer me to call
you, 'Your Holiness', now?" said Gadivichi with an almost
sarcastic to

hand, looking between it and Lardus intently, still shocked.

child from his thoughts. Looking at them now, he sees that they
are infact missing an arm, and searching for something.
Lardus Walks over towards the child across the street with a
missing arm he would bend down and ask what exactly was
troubling him and if he needed help finding something

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Boy :: Mama and papa are gone. I was hung'y
and was searching for something to eat.. but now I--I'm lost..
Lardus :: Fear not i will help you little boy
Lardus :: do you remmeber where you last saw your mama and papa

about Tommy.. and.. something about a group..

bread giving it to him to eat ,"We will search for them there"

side, out of ear shot of the boy. "Pretty sure this kid's
brother is dead." claimed Gadavichi.

((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi :: ..Do you not know about what's
been happening at the Heartbound Factories on the west side?
Lardus :: No i was to busy extermineteing demons and purifying
the land

string of suicides have been happened, twelve in total, in the
past month. Workers have been jumping from the roofs of the
factory in broad daylight. It's been all in the newspaper and
gossip."

jumped at once.
Lardus :: Hmm could it be depression or... something else
Lardus :: and your saying that his brother was on of the sucides

instincts and intuition are telling me. And the fact that I know
one of the suicidees was called Tommy.

the past two weeks; it started just after you left for whatever
demon-hunting mission you were on.
Lardus :: Well... if thats the case we should still try to bring
this boy back to his family
Lardus :: nothing we can do for the dead expect pray for them
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi pushed back his wavy hair. "I'll
handle it."
Lardus :: okay ill leave everything up to you and only observe
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi takes out a scroll. "While I'm
handling that, I actually have a favor to ask from you, L."
Lardus :: and what would that be ?
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi :: A few nearby citizens were
kidnapped by goblins from the eastern Highlands. They were out
for a stroll, and WHAM.
Lardus :: sigh
Lardus :: and ou want me to go save them right ? and eliminaite
all goblins ?
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi opens the scroll, handing it to
Lardus. Gadavichi's Foresight Scrolls.
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi :: Yep. It's happening in exactly
five minutes from now. I was going to take care of it, but now,
you can instead.
Lardus :: What exactly is the purpose of this scroll ?
((OOC)) Cassandra :: Gadavichi :: It holds all the exact
information and location of when that is going to happen. You
need to know where to go, right? Or did you suddenly grow
omniscient when you went crusader mode?
Lardus :: Fine fine.
Lardus Takes the scroll and head towards the location where the
kidnapped people where located beginning his quest to save them
all and eliminiate goblins
