For as long as he could remember, Prometheus never really
learned that much. He wasn't aware why, but he seemed to have an
ingrained knowledge of the world around him, and casually picked
up new techniques from watching others. He never had to actually
TRY and learn a new technique, and thus avoided having to learn
complex abilities whenever he could. One form of ability he
always tried to ignore was wizardry and magic in general. He
wasn't that talented at manipulating his own mana besides basic
reinforcement and regeneration, and even with that he wasn't
very good at it. He was inefficient, constantly burning at his
own reserves without gaining any benefit from it. He always saw
magical abilities as the kind of thing where if you don't have
the spark for it, you can never learn it in all your life, but
he was willing to make an exception now. He knew he would be on
a quest to gather and forge the most powerful of warriors to
stop the threat of the world's newest calamity, and knew that
not only would he have to train the greatest of soldiers, but
would also have to temper his own soul. If he couldn't boast
that he constantly improved at his craft to become the greatest
he could be, how could he preach that mindset to those he
taught? In order to become a better mentor and role model,
Prometheus would have to further his own teachings outside of
       his comfort zone.
Knowing the difficulties of acquiring magical teachings in
the areas he frequented, Prometheus decided upon traveling to
Radio to cash in a favor of sorts. He had appeared in Radio once
before, despite having no clue how or why he got there, and
ended up assisting a small town around the balbadd area when it
came to their 'pest control' problems. Some of the smallest
monsters that Prometheus had ever seen managed to invade their
defenses, and got into their storage spaces and homes. By the
end of that day, Prometheus was covered head to toe in monster
meat and tiny beast appendages. As thanks, the owners of the
village treated him a nice warm shower and what he considered
their version of a badge of honor. Prometheus never thought he
would get any use out of it considering how little he usually
stayed in Radio, but decided now was as good a time as any to
       cash it in.
Luckily, the travel back to the village wasn't too perilous
outside of the regular monster encounters that Prometheus had
grown accustomed to back home. Even if he hadn't some of these
enemies before, they seemingly weren't much different from the
ones he were used to. He had arrived back to the town pretty
easily, and was excited to catch up with the individuals he had
met previously. The best part, he was treated surprisingly well.
He was expecting to be put under a watchful eye from the
majority of the townsfolk and almost treated like a criminal,
but they were weirdly welcome compared to his usual reception
back home. Pretty soon, he had made it back to the owners of the
village, and was able to inquire their assistance. He needed to
expand his horizons, and was looking for a tutor when it came to
a particular versatile magic technique. He had heard stories
about users of it in areas such as Dan Grafta and Sento, but had
no idea how to use it himself due to his lack of access to magic
teachings where he usually wandered. The ability he was looking
for was an Amp Body, and he hoped to use it to further increase
his body's physical capabilities, and provide a way to defeat
enemies that were slippery enough to avoid his basic strikes.
Unfortunately, the teacher informed Prometheus that it
would be unlikely for him to learn an Amp Body by the regular
means. He had very little magic reserves and spellcrafting
experience and the ability he was looking for was advanced.
Ignoring that fact, Prometheus pressed on, learning the steps
one at a time. No longer would he avoid these kinds of
techniques. He would do whatever it took to become the best of
the best. To avoid the risk of overdrawing, he would have to
learn to understand his body and its warning signs and find what
       was truly natural to him.
To begin this process, Prometheus focused on understanding
his Amp Body element itself. He usually had a pretty easy time
when it came to harnessing fire. It's brutal passion and
unrelenting force resonated with him, feeling compatible to his
own personality. Next, Prometheus had to learn how to flow the
mana throughout his body, and picked up some books on the flow
of mana throughout the body, studying how the body reacted to
mana output and the separate pathways the body used to flow mana
       throughout itself.
Prometheus then practiced getting used to that flow, and
understanding how to feel and control it, checking how to
increase and decrease the pressure of the manaflow at will. He
also had to learn to feel the differences between when his body
outputted small amounts of mana such as a simple Ignize spell
against the kind of consistent mana tax an Amp Body would
require. By the end of this all, Prometheus had a basic
understanding of how his body reacted to different outputs of
mana, and understood the kind of intense concentration necessary
to maintain a continuous flow of raw mana. Of course, Prometheus
would soon have to elementally aspect that mana, which to his
surprise, was easier than flowing the raw mana throughout his
body. By the end of it all, Prometheus, after a time much longer
than he originally estimated, managed to finally activate Amp
Body: Fire. Even if he couldn't do it for long, Prometheus
treasured this small victory, and decided to dedicate some of
his time regularly to getting better at the ability.
       Learned Amp Body: Fire
