The Town of Apondis, often called Apondis Village or simply
Apondis, is the cornerstone of Origin's history and past. The
village is dense but small, with an estimated population of
around 40,000 distributed over a few square miles. Apondis holds
cultural ties to much of the early history of Origin and Radio
itself, being in the centre of Origin.
The city was founded in 11 A.C by the heroic Sage, David, using
all the luxuries and popularity he had obtained throughout his
travels. The city grew alongside the nearby Spire River, growing
at a large rate due to the plentiful natural bounties and
geography of the land it was on. Around 78 A.C, a civil war
broke out in Apondis. By this time, David was on his deathbed
and was choosing which of his two children would be his
successor: Yale the Brave or Vaan the Wise. David ended up
choosing Yale, causing a split between the siblings and starting
up factions. Vaans faction went onwards to settle and colonize
southward, swearing to get revenge while Yale's faction took
control of Apondis.
Apondis entered it's only ever Golden Age, doubling into size
into the city it currently is, becoming a mainstream city within
Origin, and being a leader in the gain of Technology. For over a
century, Apondis stayed there. The beacon of Origin similar to
Remnant, the beacon of Phlegm: a wonderful turn of events. Yet
twas not to be, as in 183 A.C yet another war broke out: the War
of Bishuétz.
