       Balbadd

The bustling commercial hub of Balbadd sits amid the desolate
desert landscape of northern Originsurrounded by sand, springs
and sea. . A testimony to old glories and rising powers, Balbadd
glitters among the rest. The city is organized strategically
around the dome-shaped citadel at its center. Its towering
fortifications and protective outer walls are visible for yalms
in all directions, and serve as a stark deterrent to would-be
besiegers. It is the most populous city in all of the Eastern
       Hemisphere.
The city thrives due to the ambition of its citizens.
Balbaddians revel in beauty and power and compete to possess
both. Fame, wealth and strength can be obtained and wielded in
Balbadd, and there is more to living than quietly surviving. The
city, boasts amphitheaters, temples, a Librum, floating palaces,
and gardens of concubines. Withstanding the centuries, Balbadd
is a city both beautiful and merciless. She woos adorers,
choosing from them whom she will bless or devour. Strangely
enough, as if the land around Balbadd is sacred, almost no
Transcendents wander openly here. Instead, it is a true
collection of humanoids, consisting of people from all across
       Myrrh.
Balbadd is the only oligarchy in all of Myrrh. It boasts a kind
of nobility and a centralized ruling figure, known as a Indito
       (M) or Indita (F). Noble status is both attained and maintained;
nothing comes free. Old blood, new ambition and control over
limited resources allows several families and lines to fix
themselves in a position of dominance. While ranks shift within
the hierarchy, and houses vie against one another, the noble
       class itself is intractable.
       History
Being formed after; Balbadd is in no way a place that survived
the First Calamity, instead it was carved out in the aftermath,
when later generations came back to the coastal region and began
to rebuild. Balbadd was founded in 95 C.B, by the settler
Viadun. The city grew normally at first, and was an attractive
city, until a strange magical phenomenon known now as the
Nega-Dream took hold. This effect forced the Day-Night cycle to
shift heavily in favor of the night, leaving 1 hour of sunshine
every single day. This effect greatly hampered the town; ruining
their farms, emboldening mosnter attacks and more. It seemed to
be the end for Balbadd until a woman known as Egora saved the
town from this effect by defeating the source in single combat.
In doing so, she also founded Balbadd's most unique feature: the
       Dream Hour.
       Dream Hour
The Dream Hour is the hour of which Balbadd initially had it's
only period of light, 1:00AM to 2:00 AM. This period shifts all
entities within range of the effect (encompassing Balbadd and
some of its surroundings) into what is collouqially known as a
'Dream Realm'. While in the Dream Realm, it is said emotions are
able to flow freely from one to another. For freeing Balbadd
from Shadow and thus creating effect, Egora is hailed as the
       cities patron deity.
Visitors from every corner of Myrhh come to Balbadd to partake
of the city's famed recreation, most notably the fighting arenas
and the Dream Hour. Balbaddian culture is known for its
affluence, and the wealth of the nation comes in large part from
its abundant mineral resources and prestigious clothcrafting
       industry.

The Canary Syndicate Bank is a financial holdings facility that
sits directly in the centre of Balbadd, being one of the few
established and multinational ones within the world. The bank is
a large, brutalist building that stretches on for multiple
yalms. It's current Executor is Daneth Canary.
Its primary objective being to help manage the flow of money and
to safeguard it. People can take out loans, save their money and
even directly invest money into a number of businesses within
not just Balbadd, but in Radio from here. It's total assets and
worth rack upwards into the billions of Jewel: being more
valuable then some minor nations and cities. Over 25% of all
Trade within Myrrh happens within the walls of this building,
with large deals of over 100,000J happening daily. The Canary
Syndicate even deals with the lesser used and more local
       currencies found within other areas.
Usury and loan sharking are unequivocally disallowed in the
bank, and taking on loans and borrowers that one either cannot
afford, or cannot trust is considered a foolish action. Although
the rules are intentionally set to be harsh and were designed to
stem corruption, it still spreads among the businessmen, with
people narrowly getting past the customs of the Syndicate by
taking advantage of the 'exact words' of the rules.
