       Vladimir [7]
By: Chente Date: January 15, 2019, 3:25 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
After having been critically wounded and narrowly brought to a
hospital with the aid of Konoma, Vladimir was out of commision
for an entire month. His Beijing mission that should've taken
only a few days, a week at most was extended far beyond what it
was meant to. Konoma reported back to the collective that the
mission was taking longer; not stating that Vladimir was wounded
on duty. He would not hurt his comrade's pride or reputation on
the field. The process was difficult, what with Vladimir
struggling through it. Here are some excerpts of what had
       occured:
       Excerpt 1:
On his stomach, was laying on a medical trolley. He had just
regained consciousness from the attack he had suffered during
       the mission.
His shirt was on the floor, ripped and torn on the lower half--
where he had now had a scar on his body.
       Konoma :: I see you're awake now, morningbird. For a second, I
       had thought you passed on.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Everything smells of rat piss... so I am
assuming I am still alive in Beijing and not in valhalla?
Konoma :: We're in an underground hospital in Beijing.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Do not worry comrade not my first time
almost being cut in half. Ah yes are the authorities looking for
us or have things cooled down?
Konoma :: I've checked the news and hacked into local databases.
We're much smaller news then Javier's death.
Konoma :: Although we didn't exactly kill him ourselves, the
       mission is a success, da?
Vladimir Karamazov :: Da comrade big money!
       Konoma :: Big money!
Vladimir Karamazov trying to do a triumphant gesture over
extends himself before feeling a sudden rush of pain near his
       abdomen. "GOOD LORD!"
Konoma :: You're not fully healed yet, Karamazov. You've been
       unconscious for three days.
Vladimir Karamazov :: What even did this to me? Was that thing
some kind of like bat gorilla?
Vladimir Karamazov :: I just remember running away from the
       scary technology lady.
Konoma :: A baphomei mutant. Somehow, Page.. created one without
trouble. She just hacked that guard into a mutant.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Strange. Did that spider thing record any
       of that audio?
Vladimir Karamazov :: We could blackmail her and her entire
       company if we do.
Konoma :: The audio before the attack is still on the spider.
However, the data after that somehow became corrupted.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Hm. Well who was this Javier man you
       mentioned?
''The doctor did say you might suffer from amnesia or more PTSD
then you already do.." mumbled Konoma in a thinking posture.
Konoma :: He was our target for this mission.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Da! I was just... Testing your
       knowledge... ha....
Vladimir Karamazov :: Anyway when do we head back to the mother
       land?
Konoma :: As soon as you're healed up, comrade.
Vladimir Karamazov :: How long do they expect that to take?
Konoma :: Well, they used biogel to restore your crushed left
kidney and your cut intenstines-- and biogel takes about a month
to settle in replaced organs as good as new.
       Vladimir Karamazov :: Crushed kidney...
       Konoma :: I still find it a miracle you're alive, but that's
biogel for you. Controlled cancer stem cells.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Yes we are lucky to be living in such an
       age!
Konoma :: You're even more lucky it isn't your liver-- or you'd
have to break in the new one with your drinking habits. Haha.
Vladimir Karamazov :: So anything to do around this dump while
we recover? They got a tv?
Vladimir Karamazov :: Speaking of that am I allowed to drink
       now?
Konoma :: I'm not sure. The doctor had to perform a house call
on a woman in the chinese mafia.
       Konoma :: However..
Konoma pulls his satchel infront of him, and begins rummaging
through it. After half a minute, he takes out a bottle of
       Weihenstaphner.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Da smart thinking comrade booze are the
best pain reliever known to man!
Vladimir Karamazov :: But did they not have vodka?
Konoma :: The chinese aren't big vodka lovers. We should've went
       to Japan.
Konoma hands Vladimir a cold one, as he gets another out of his
       satchel.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Da if we ever do go there we should bring
Toma. She would love it with that fascination of those weird
       cartoons she holds...
Vladimir and Konoma continued talking while drinking beers. They
had a lot to talk about, and plenty of time to do it.
       Excerpt 2:
Walking up a flight of stairs, Vladimir took in a deep breath of
fresh air. It had been two weeks since he regained
consciousness, and he was finally in a stable condition to be
       walking around.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Ah finally the smell of rat piss is
replaced with extremely polluted air... You can almost taste the
child workers tears in the smog...
As Vladimir says this, he notices that he was in a somewhat busy
part of Beijing. He didn't remember exactly how Konoma brought
him here in the broken state he was. A question for another day.
Vladimir Karamazov squables around the busy city looking for
       something INTERESTING.
As Vladimir heads out, he notices Konoma walking out of the
       building.
Konoma :: Going for some exercise, comrade? Or interested in the
       nightlife of Beijing?
Vladimir Karamazov has joined the RP.
Vladimir Karamazov :: I don't really think I'm in the right
state to go clubbing but perhaps we could look around for
something interesting to do I am kind of bored of just laying
around watching programs I don't really understand.
Konoma :: I've been in Beijing multiple times for various
employers. I know this place like the back of my hand.
Vladimir Karamazov :: What did you do for work before joining
       the collective?
Konoma :: I was a triple agent during the War.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Any interesting stories from that time?
Did you ever assassinate someone with some weird object?
Konoma :: You ever heard of the EVE project?
Vladimir Karamazov :: Not at all what is it?
Konoma :: Bioweapons. Mutant bioweapons; a big russian thing
       through the war.
Konoma :: The government tried to turn mutations into weapons.
Happened before the Juliet convention, yeah?
Vladimir Karamazov :: Oh... Yes I got decommissioned as an
officer over my reaction to seeing some of the... Experiments...
Konoma :: Being half-jap and russian, I was hired by ZED to keep
an eye on the Uni as a sleeper agent.
Vladimir Karamazov :: What happened to that gig?
Konoma :: I was one of the whistleblowers for the project to
ZED. Biggest thing in my life, to be honest. Never got popular
       for it though.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Maybe that is for the best da?
Vladimir Karamazov :: So what made you want to join our little
group after uncovering something so big? Wouldn't you rather lay
       low?
Konoma :: Well, you were reruiting hobos. I am-- was, one.
       Vladimir Karamazov :: Very true.
Vladimir Karamazov :: Do you ever worry about Zed coming after
       you?
       *russia
Konoma :: They'd have to find out my new identity first. I
       wasn't always Konoma.
Vladimir Karamazov :: I would ask but then you would probably
have to kill me right comrade?
Konoma :: Non. I'd have to vanish again though; and I rather
like the Collective. It's nice not being a hobo.
Vladimir Karamazov :: People really don't take having a home for
       granted...
Vladimir Karamazov :: Speaking of while we are here do you think
we could form some good connections? Perhaps recruit some
       people?
Vladimir Karamazov :: Maybe some buisness deals?
Konoma :: Sure, but weren't you going to look around Beijing?
       Enjoy the nightlife?
Vladimir Karamazov :: I guess we could put that off for now...
Vladimir Karamazov :: So where should we go for the nightlife?
Konoma brought up a map, and began looking through the nearby
hotspots for activity. Night clubs, a few scattered casinos, and
a strip club or two-- all the usual places. Vladimir went with
him, having gained feeling back in most of his body.
