       Len [9]
       By: ARandomN00B Date: September 10, 2021, 7:18 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: With Oscar out of commision and at the
doctor, and Jonessa also taken to the doctor, Len was alone for
Nuit. The festival events were starting downtown.
Len alone for nuit. Now this was a familiar sensation.
Len he glanced over to whatever was going on in the festival. If
there was anything that caught his eye, he just might partake in
the festivities for once. Without Luka or the others to goad him
into it, he had no real desire, but it couldn't harm things.
Len last time he attempted to join in, he was almost lynched.
How was he supposed to know that it was against 'common
courtesy' to use a skeletal hand to plant seeds? He saw it as
       recycling.
Len :: Perhaps this time shall be different.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: (Participate in the festivities?)
Len :: At the worst, I can go back to my usual Nuit
       'celebrations'.
Len wasn't sure when he began to talk to himself, but spending
enough time in the underworld did that to you.
Len figured at some point that the isolation he caused himself
couldn't possibly be healthy, but it was comforting, in a way.
He declined the festivities on this day, he had work to do.
Adrian Lovett(TikTik) <---- It is time to bring BALANCE Chente
Len :: The spirits within the earth demand their payback for all
they have done, and on this most glorious day the arboreal debt
       is repaid.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Where now would Len head?
Len :: Unfortunately, mortals aren't very good at restraint, and
       neither is the earth.
Len :: Eenie, meenie, minie, that one!
Len pointed a finger into a random direction. Westward, it
seemed, would be his expansion for the day.
Len IT didn't exactly matter where he went, he'd find what he
       needed to do regardless.
Len if there were no eldritch monstrosities masquerading as cute
forest critters to slay, he could always practice his
necromancy. Now that the order was given, he might be able to
avoid a lynching this time 'round.
Len He'd prefer to keep this current body.
       You're out.
       Len has left the RP.
       You're in.
       Len has joined the RP.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Len headed west, away from the inner
tribe and towards the outer banks.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: The swampier part of the Ichor
tribelands, some gave it the colloquial title, 'the swamplands'
due to its wet, muddy and unstable grounds, along with its
       rviers
Adrian Lovett(TikTik) <---- What time is it?
Len then it was a good thing that Len didn't care much for the
fashionability of his clothing. Those boots of his were made to
last, and that's exactly what they'd do. He continued forth,
making his best attempts to sneak and skulk.
Len periodically, he paused, listening in for sounds that
weren't supposed to be there. Above all, he listened for
silence. Silence was the absolute worst thing that he could, or
couldn't, hear at the current moment. The tribelands of Sarzz
were full of life at all times, bar some magical disaster or a
Len anomaly. If there was something that could ge tthe animals
in these forests to shut up, it wouldn't take too kindly to him.
Len the hard part was staying silent. He had grown far too used
to talking to himself to pass the time. If he had to stay like
this much longer, he would crack.
       Len :: .
       Len :: ...
       Len cleared his throat.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: As Len took the route to the west, he
       ran into a familiar face.
Len and who exactly was this indivdual that Len was already
turning toward to give a handshake?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: A silhouette at one of the arch-pillars
near the sidewalk, sitting atop it.
       Daïs has plugged in!
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: ''Yo Lenn, long time no see, dude.
Enjoying your life at its most radicalll?"
Len gave the mystery person an animated wave.
Len :: Remind me, what's your name again?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: ??? :: Hah, you suddenly became a
jokester in the past century, gnarly, bro. Enjoying your time up
here on the overworld, impersonating a mortal, huh?
Len :: Ah. It's one of you.
Len :: One of my 'brothers and sisters' I presume?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: ???'s silhouette atop the pillar
dropped down without a sound or even ruffling up any dust, as if
they applied no force to anything. A spectre. "I felt kinda
amped and decided to take a trip to the surface, see how a kook
like you is doing. Really is rad up here.''
Len :: The nature here is quite beautiful.
Len :: I find that I prefer it to the bleak and drab colors that
the underworld features so. That and the lava and brimstone and
       things that murder you.
Len shrugged his shoulders. "Things still want to murder you
here, but you at least got a 60 40 chance, and this time it's
       skewed in your favor'
Len :: But I do wonder what you think you're doing with a
disguise such as that? Most mortals leave marks when they move.
Len :: I'd rather not bail you out when one of the townsfolk get
       in their moods.
Len :: I'm already 'swamped' in work as it is.
Len :: Really just in the weeds.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: ??? walked forward, coming underneath a
lantern as Len saw their vessel body. Just by the aesthetic, he
could remember now who thsi was.
       Len whomst
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: ??? :: Ah that look, you really do
       remember me, don't you?
       Adrian Lovett(TikTik) whispers ----> Goosebumps.
Len was not sure of the look that he gave him, but considering
what his body was feeling, the man must have felt wronged in
       some way.
Adrian Lovett(TikTik) whispers ----> A chill runs down your
       spine.
       Len :: Hm
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Len remembered..
       ((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: //flashback//
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Anna :: Ahhh!!--
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Annas form wasted away before Len, her
skin rotting and her tissue dying. She perished in but a few
       seconds.
Len it happened in a flash. IF he remembered correctly, this was
the moment he attempted to embrace her, only to find that his
hands swatted at empty air and dust.
       ((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Lloyd :: L-Len, w-whats goi-
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Lloyd :: I--I don't feel so goo--
Len At his own hands, he erased she who was brighter than the
       sun. And then tehre was..
       Len :: Step back!
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Lloyd exploded, turning into a puff of
dust before the force of the Psyche Siphon.
Len His exact thoughts at the moment could be summated in four
letters that couldn't be said around children. For a man as
eloquent as himself that fact was embarrassing, but he wasn't
thinking of that at the time.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Aros :: Euunghh!
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Viviana attempted to speak, only for
both Len and her to see, realizing that her neck was
evaporating, wasting away. Soon after, her entire skin
followed-- then muscle and finally bone in a somewhat
       terriftying way.
Len For all his talents in mana reinforcement, this wasn't
something Aros could conquer with mana alone. With anything
really. Viviana followed suit, leaving Len with...nothing.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Sum Queen :: This one has been cursed
with divine power. He is unfit for mine armies, and has slain
       kin. Karcsi.. eliminate him.
Len The pieces had come together.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: 'Deceased', even as undead sum-- he had
killed his friends an even fellow soldiers by accident. Now, he
would be slain by his own best friend.
Len To be fair, he was already basically ignoring the Queen's
orders at that point. The whole 'mass extinction' thing took the
backburner once he had spent years on the surface.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Even with Len's advent powers, his
prowess in necromancy was no match to his friends, and his will
to fight his own companion was low. Karcsi easily defeated Len,
and held his blade to his neck before pausing.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Karcsi :: I'm not stoked to be doing
this, bro-- but you.. you killed them. Aros. Viviana. Lloyd! You
even.. you loved Anna, but you're cursed and your curse killed
       her, bro.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: As Len blinked, the sound of a swing
       was heard-- and--
       ((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: //flashbackk end//
Len paused for a moment, pain beyond scars or wounds reflecting
within his eyes. "I-I"m sorry.." It had been long since he had
last apologized, the words feeling alien on his lips.
Len began to back away slowly, crestfallen. He couldn't meet
Karcsi's eyes, not now that he remembered.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Sitting by the silhouette was Karcsi,
in the vessel of a male Bold. For Len it had been a few years
now, but for Karcsi-- probably a century, since Karcsi spared
him. The Sum Queen said she was going to delay the war for a few
centuries in light of the death of her soldiers.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: And Len, was left alone in Sarrz,
       cursed with his Adventism.
Len and as he had come to realize upon the years of him being an
advent, it was a fate that he deserved. He was both a failure
and a hyprocrite, to aversive to take a risk in the fear of his
own abilities. More accurately, his lack of ability.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: As Len stood there, thinking-- he
suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. "Len--"
Len To be an advent that never attempted to flee meant one of
two things. You either thought you would never get away, or that
even if you could, where would you run to?
Len had nothing. He deserved nothing.
Len the brief downward spiral ceased as he felt Karcsi's cold
hand on his shoulder, swattign it away in a panic.
       Len :: I accept it.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: Uh, you accept what?
Len :: Your attempt to kill me- wait what?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: As Len turned around, he would see Ez--
and just Ez, there, looking at him with confusion.
Len looked once more to the the pillars. Karcsi had vanished,
       hadn't he?
Len Or perhaps he was never there. Nothing more than a sepcter
to remind him of his failures.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Karcsi was never there. Looking now,
Len saw the shadow of what appeared to be a Scarecrow. A common
       Nuit decoration.
Len hurriedly wiped the sweat from his brow and reapplied his
mask. "Why hello there, Ez. You come to join in my definitely
       normal Nuit festivities?"
       Len :: Emphasis on normal.
Len paused. The man wasn't convinced.
Len :: How much would I have to pay you for you to forget
       everything you just heard?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: Yes, yes, and atleast 40,000
Jewel. I'm not much of a Nuit person and its law that all bars
are closed for the holiday. Nobody across the nation can drink
       alcohol today.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: So the Peanut's Sprout is out of
the question. I've got nohting to do today, and I was thinking
'wait a second, one of my friends is a Sum-- he knows about
       nature and spirit things, right?'
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: The rest is history, babe.
Len cast pilfer on himself, a faint blue hand indiscriminately
taking piles of Jewel from Len's own pockets and into Ez's. Did
oyu know that if you chagned the mold of the spell you could ge
the hand to target things by weight? Very useful is you want to
steal a crown. Or perhaps a weapon. Len knew.
       Len :: Ah yes.
       Len :: Spirits
       Len :: Nature.
Len :: And all such things.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez and Len would then enjoy the
       holdiay.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: The duo went into the town square, Ez
following Len. On the way, Ez chatted up a few women on the
path, giving them the address of the Peanut's Sprout if they
wanted to go drinking later, and spend some 'quality time' with
him perhaps. He also did a casual prayer at each shrine they
       passed by.
Len Nuit was a dangerous time for the balance of the forest. A
time in which the majority of humanity decided to pay their
respects to the spirits all at once, instead of just being
decent human beings consistently (Looking at you, Sento). Thus,
well intentioned citizens were far more likley to interru
Len pt nature's flow. That in itself wasn't abad thing, it was
       the ratio. The BALANCE>
Elijah(Niceman1488) <---- wanna join the RPee?
Len :: Are you sure you'd like to spend Nuit with me, Ez?
Len :: What I do is....different from most celebrations.
       Bloodier, even.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: And what I normally do is go to a
nooky party, get massively drunk, lift a middle finger to a few
shrines, maybe even go gambling. But for today, new Ez.
Len to be fair, most of the blood actualyl spilled was Len's
own. His powers weren't the kind to let things bleed. Swift,
painless death was what he offered.
Len :: Is a new Ez willing to battle nature's abominations with
       me?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez straightened his shirt and stood up,
taking a straight pose and deepening his voice for a second.
"Good samaritan, well-disciplined citizen of the faith, Ezekiel
       Boisgevès, at your service."
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez paused. "For today. Just today."
Len :: Good to know you're pacing yourself. One day, you'l be
able to join the rest of us advents at the adults table.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: While Len wasn't looking, he coudl tell
Ez was making a face about him for the last comment. But more
interestingly, they saw a large amount of decorative lights and
symbols in the square. Kyle's Essentials was especially shining
       today.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: Oh, look over there; the
Zanzaball Stadium is running a game today, towards the outskirts
of the tribe. Weren't the Papocan Dolphins going against our
       Ichoris today?
Len figured it was good as time as any to pack up on supplies.
There were sayings about takign a wrong turn in the silderness
without your bag of essentials. Sayings that Len didn't exactly
       remember, but there certainly existed.
Len saunters on over to Kyle's essentials. As boominb as
business was, Len's presence would probably lower the length of
the line. Sarzzian citizens weren't the biggest fans of Len's
       existence. Len didn't blame them.
Len the finest essentials. at Kyle's essentials. Herbs, potions,
explosives. Everything you need for an everyday excursion.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Lens hunch was correct as he went into
the building. As soon as people recognized him, most of them
either left the store early or proceeded with doubled haste to
       finish their shopping.
Invalid Command! I'm calling the CIA on you! (musi)
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: Shorter life for us. Heh.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: However-- one person instead looked at
Len with something of a smile.
Len still wasn't certain if they didn't like him because of his
awful jokes or because he was advent to Mortixis. Being a Sum
didn't help either. Regardless of reason, it helped him while he
was shopping. The shopkeeps didn't care too much who they sold
to as long as they had coin.
Len waved to the smiling person.
       Len :: Howdy there!
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: A small girl, barely half his height,
looking up at him. "Oi there, mista! Do you knows whyse everyone
       leftse?"
Len whoever they were, they were either a very small and young
child or an incredibly old mascu or lupus.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Girl :: Me mum always told me ta stay
alert fer trouble, but I dun see any..
Len raises his hand. "It;s me I'm the trouble."
Len :: And if you dont skedaddle right now, I'll just have to
       gobble you up!
Len made the most menacing posture he could, claws(arms)
outstretched and teeth bared. He began to emist some good ol
ghostly sum mist to really sell the effect.
Len it probably wouldn't help his neighborhood reputation, but
messing with children has to be a universal instinct that he
       could justify.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: The girl look untroubled. A second
later, she suddenly swung her leg forward--
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: --and hit Len for a critical strike
       with her leg. (333 Damage)
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Immediately, Len fell to his knees
"Yous is no trouble. You look so weak I could beat ya up, mista.
       Do youse even lift?"
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez's eyes widened as he began to laugh
       uncontrollably. "Pwff hahaha!"
Len "No, not really. My membership got declined because 'ghosts
can't gain muscle'" len uttered weakly.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: The girl turned towards Ez as he
instantly stopped his laugh and took a few steps back.
Len :: It's a real problem for villains like me. Defeated by a
       little girl.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Girl :: So if youse aint really
trouble, then why did the peoples run away?
Len gathers back whatever marbles he dropped on the floor that
he was looking so badly at and gets back up.
Len :: Because not everyone is as smart as you, young miss.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Girl :: But aren't grownups s'posed to
       be smart, guv?
       Len :: Not exactly.
Len :: Girl, you ever play a sport? Some Zanzaball, perhaps?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: She taps the ground a few times with
her left foot. "Nos. Girls like me aren't allowed to play
       Zanzaball in Sarrz.''
Len turns to Ez and whispers. "I don't remember that. That feels
like a thing I should remember!". He swiftly turns back around,
hoping the surprise in his head didn't show on his face.
Len :: Well, my whole analogy is in the gutter then. A shame.
Len :: The only other way I could explain it is only for the
smartest of little girls. Are you one of them?
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Girl :: Me mum, dad an other mum all
say I'm smart. They work in da farms to make sure I can go ta
       school.
Len :: In that case, I guess you can handle it just fine.
Len :: The issue with grownups is that while they accumulate a
lot of experience, not all of it is correct. Bias and prejudice
festers until eventually, you have communities scared of
       weaklings like me.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: For peasantry and serfs, I've
heard the recent war has made it more difficult for them to work
in the fields. Especially with the random battles going on in
       the north and east.
Len :: Then you have all the weird government manipulations and
religious doctrine but those aren't the kind of things you
       should think about.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: One of my friend's friend was
bombed while they were tilling the crops by the Salendrians.
Gibs as far as the eye can see.
Len wished Advents could be deployed for more useful things like
stopping those kinds of atrocities. If only advents were created
by the benevolent instead of the nihilistic.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez crouched and patted the girl on her
shoulder. "But a lot of this is heavy for a child. Your parents
are working so you don't have to, right? Where are they?"
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Girl :: Deys just ran out when this man
came in. (She stared straight at Len)
Len :: Guess they aren't as brave and strong as their spawn.
Len :: Parents were made of stronger stuff back in my day.
Len :: My day of......really long ago now that I think about it.
((OOC)) Adrian Lovett :: Ez :: They're probably out searching
for her right now, Len. I can go find them and return her to
       them, while you finish shopping.
Len :: That does seem like the proper choice. Run along with Ez
now, child. You're safer with him than you are me.
The Roleplay is beginning...hit JOIN RP in the RP INFORMATION
       tab to join.
Len turns toward the shopkeep who may or may not have still been
at thair post, slapping 20,000 jewel on the table and pointing
rapidly at various items from poisions, to cures, to explosives.
