Tropes-Related Talk
By: Shane Date: November 6, 2013, 9:45 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Um, yeah.
Members can talk about trope-related things, ask questions, et
cetera, and so forth.
I already have a question:
What trope does one use for a character who has a five hit
combo, who says these depending on the amount of hits?
[li]Ha![/li]
[li]Yah![/li]
[li]My turn![/li]
[li]It's over![/li]
[li]Have at you![/li]
Does that fall under Large Ham
HTML http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LargeHam
or
something?
The observant will note that it's the title under my avatar.
Variant N-Shane has that above as his combo speech.
The Battle: Variant N is a freeform RPG, as well, the curious
should ask Taylor or KarjamP or anyone who has participated in
it for details.
(I know very little about it. :-\)

I must say, that's rather interesting. "My turn" is entirely
unexpected though.

Maybe IdiosyncraticComboLevels is closer?

Ah, thanks. :)
Achievements in Ignorance would apply to someone who can kill
the immortal, regardless of the fact that they're, well,
immortal, right? Or is that Beyond the Impossible?
(I've already asked this at TV Tropes in the "Post your random
thoughts" thread.)

Shane, add this to the list of tropes for Yoshiro Sugimoto:
[li]Public Domain Character
HTML http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/PublicDomainCharacter:<br
/>KarjamP decided that he should be in Public Domain.[/li][/list

Why don't you do it yourself? :o
Because I can't edit Shane's troper page. (Due to
vandalism, tropers can only edit their own troper page.)
I'll answer this now: Achievements in Ignorance (in
addition to Beyond the Impossible, as it's possible for an
instance to be an example of more than one trope) would only
apply if said person did not know that said immortal cannot be
killed at all. Otherwise, that'll only be Beyond the Impossible.

So what are Troper Walls meant for, then? :o
So... if someone somehow managed to make fire upside-down when
trying to make one in a fire place, what trope would that be?
I meant the troper contribution pages, which the last
time I checked, Shane was keeping the tropes for the characters
in our various worlds there.
Both if he wasn't aware if it's possible, only Beyond
the Impossible if he does and wanted to do so anyway (and
succeeding).

So... if he was entirely unaware that he was able to harm those
who were immortal, Variant-N Shane would count as "Achievements
in Ignorance"?
And it would still count as long as he remained unaware?
