As the owner of at least 50% of the Series Land Rovers in
Malibu, I should really say hello. I have a 1962 RHD Land Rover
IIA Dormobile (owned about 6 years) and a 1970 LHD Land Rover
IIA 88" Station Wagon (owned about 20 years). I've been in the
USA about 25 years but owned a bunch of Rovers over the years in
the UK where I grew up. Can't get them out of my system. Oh,
and before you say 'rich git', I live just at the west (cheap)
end of town close to the sign that says "thanks for visiting,
come back soon". On the plus side, the drive north on Pacific
Coast Highway is awesome!

I would be happy to send you some sunshine in exchange for some
rain. The temperature plunged to a frigid 60 deg F last night.
At this rate, I may be forced to fix the heater in the Dormie.

Welcome Ian :)
We've done LA to SF, stopping off at Ventura beach, (got stopped
for speeding there - let me off with a warning fp), Morro Bay
- lovely quayside seafood restaurant, Hearst Caste and Monterey.
As you say, a lovely drive - would have loved to do it in an
American classic or open top (or Landy!) but Avis were a bit
limiting!
