       Hello form Cornwall

       Eh up all,
Just wanted to say a quick hello as a new forum member from down
in Cornwall. I’m originally from Stockport in south Manchester
but managed to escape about 20 years ago.
Grew up on Landies trialing with my dad For Lancs and Cheshire
as a kid (I was a kid, my dad obviously wasn’t) but after
loosing the old man in the early 00’s I lost interest and went
off the rails for a few years. Now in my late 30’s I’m just
about back in the rails and early this year bought the first
Landy of my own. (I know, about bloody time, and well done on
waiting till they cost a bomb to buy)
Anyhow, got the 1981 series 3 in the below picture, Jan this
year and have been massively enjoying making new memories and
reliving life with the old man while bombing about in “Wendy”
       this summer.
Would be ace to meet anyone on here down our way. Or anyone who
may have known the old man, his name was Roger Hopwood.

Maybe if you fancy a roadtrip next august bank holiday you could
come along to Apedale Vally Light Railway in Staffordshire where
we all descend from various parts of the country & europe, for
beer, chat and a very large barbecue! Celbrt

Yea I was certainly planning to try and attend next year. I’m
keen to get to Land Rover legends at Bicester Heritage if they
run that again next year too.
