Hello from a land roverless lad in Northumberland
By: Phillet Date: May 26, 2017, 4:46 pm

Hello all.
A brief history is that I dreamed of owning a series Land Rover
from a deftly young age. Ages 16 I bought my 1960 88" rag top. I
loved her dearly, but after 2 engine rebuilds and a new engine
when I found at my young age I just couldn't keep up with
maintenance, so sold her when I was 18. Probably my biggest
regret. I replaced her with a disco, who ended up with 3 pages
of MOT failure, and have been land roverless since.
I'm hoping to buy another series at some point, but currently
the moths in my wallet say no. I have been to a few land rover
events since selling her, including shildon earlier this year,
met up with another member on here who I have known a few years.
Thanks for reading, Phil
(Edited as it appears I can't spell my own name...)

I know the feeling I had my first series when I was 20 ran it
for a couple of years but sold as couldn't afford to run and
maintain it then had nearly 15 years without a Land Rover till I
bought a discovery which decided it didn't want to live any more
due to rust and engine trouble, while I had discovery I bought a
series 3 project that still is a project, finally I came into
enough money to buy a series 3 that was road legal.
You time will come
