       '69 109 SW - Walter Henry

       Hello Chaps.
Well the SW arrived this morning (thanks to Joe the seller).
Got the stack of spares into a shed and managed to make it
secure(ish). My next post will be how to get a locked rear door
open without a key and how to fit new barrels (off to ebay to
       purchase).
I had to remove a hedge and fence to get it in and then rebuild
the fence - my knees are now killing me.

So now it's in and needing a fair bit of work.
First jobs will be a good clean inside and out, try and remove
the rusty sills, try to treat the surface rust, get a parts list
       started.
       I know I need to;
Try and refurb the leaf springs on the passenger side
Remove, drain and clean the fuel tank
Remove the rear axle and swap the *&%^$ old casing for the spare
       that came with the LR
A few door tops and associated seals.
.....and that's just what I spotted whilst emptying the spares!
I will look to post updates so others can revel in my misery.
       Cheers for looking
       Toby

I'm currently moving the rear and front on wheel skate to get it
where I want t. It does run but with the tuning circle of a 109
any movement would be a 128 point turn. Difficult with the
skates as the concrete floor has ridges so now stuck until I get
       more muscle!

Try using a scaff bar under the rear xmember or front bumper as
a lever to move it. - It's worked for me in the past.

Well between the showers I have deduced that the front doors
need new tops and the bottoms may be salvageable. The rear doors
I can tell need a miracle as the top half moves independently of
the bottoms. I hope to get the tears repaired as would like to
keep as much if the original paint as poss.
Anyone know a good door welder in west yorks? Luckily doors I
can drop off somewhere but the rest of the welding will have to
       be done in situ.
Might have to put the loose rear floor back on as a cat keeps
sneaking in and driving my greyhounds crazy ad they watch it
climbing on the front seats through the lounge window!
Tomorrow hopefully will be fine weather so I can look around
more. I need to see if the cooling system if watertight and then
decide whether to put antifreeze in or leave it empty as I think
       it is.
Will flush the radiator too before I start.
Let me know those welders' names!
       Cheers
       Toby
