       Hello from Wiltshire

       Hi,
I'm Matt from Wiltshire. I'm sure a few will know me from the
S2C forum, I recognise a lot of names.
I found out about the Shell Island weekend too late so thought I
ought to sign up here to make sure I don't miss out again!
Here is a pic of my 109". It is a 1968 SIIA with a 2.25P in it.
I have completely rebuilt it with a galvy chassis and bulkhead.
Rebuilt engine and gearbox etc, although the rebuilt engine went
bang after 350 miles so it currently has an early 2.25 Petrol in
it while I rebuild the original engine again.

       Thanks
       Matt

What happened is that the bolt holding the camshaft on sheared
which caused the camshaft to move backwards taking out most of
the tappets and bending a few pushrods. It also damaged the
teeth on the distributor drive gear so all of that needs
replacing. I can't see what actually caused it I think I might
have just been unlucky and had a weakened cam gear bolt.
