Hi to all ,
Like my friend Mr-G i too have been absent from any of
the forums for a long time. But thanks to a Ian scottson and my
wanting to go t'pit again i was directed back here. It's been a
long time since i'd attended any meet's etc for one reason or
another, must be 9-10yrs since i went to the first leafers back
in the day's when i used to go to all the shows with the LR
Orphanage. Since my return from working for LandRover in
Wiltshire back here to Sunny Suffolk , i have always worked with
LR's. For myself and with Richard @ Glencoyne and for the last
four years i have been the parts manager for Mansfield 4x4 in
Bury st Edmunds.I now live within a mile of the green lanes that
we drive on the Thetford forest days.
So now the big push to get my Swb (300tdi) on the road,
am not worried about the paintwork just want to be able to drive
it then i can sell the 90 .Plenty of time to get ready for
Leafer's i'm sure rbchn and then hopefully get out and drive
these lanes more.

Welcome along chap .....
I'm sure you'll have notice already BUT were very chilled on
here with none of the "usual" forum politics and ego massaging
etc .
Plenty of leafer fun AND other flavours of rusty old machinery
too lol ...feel free to join ask questions etc .
You'll obviously be VERY welcome at T'pit or indeed any of the
other events we organise ...plenty of leafer fun/beer/BBQ etc
and talking rubbish around a campfire to be had .
Good to have you back on board mate ....now hurry up with that
Tdi power (Says him with 5 currently off the road ;-) )

Cheers fella's , yes they do take longer than you expect . Much
easier when i used to do it for others working 9-5 , than trying
to fit in an hour here and there sometimes not for a week or
more. In theory not much to do really, just sort out this clutch
issue , a little bit of wiring to do and tweak the brakes then
were off fnky
