Thanks to all who do their thing for LATP, totally enjoyed the
day, left a tad earlier than planned kids eh...
Met some people, talked to some that I have no idea who you are,
and a couple of people i did wanna speak to/meet always seemed
to be uber busy when spotted...
180 mile round trip, the furthest I've driven pheebs, all seems
ok, couple of odd noises at 60mph and the oil pressure light is
on more than I'd like but driving her today in the words of
rog..
"My back aches but I'm cool as fuck.."
Til next year..

Glad you made it back safely! I enjoyed the short convoy; Pheobs
looks the danglies at 50mph in the middle lane at the A1/M1
junction with hot hatches and wagons piling past either side!
What's your thinking with the temps then? Worth trying a
different rad? Think I'm going to have to investigate mine a bit
further...

H2O didn't rise all that much tho, steady 85c pretty much all
the time. It's only the oil that concerns me..
Your rear end didn't look too bad either, whstle If that Beemer
knob jockey had have been slightly more of a dick it would have
been a different story

20/50 cured it in a 2.25 I know that was on 10/40.
Mine is on 20/50 and no problems at all.

would the thicker oil stay cooler or just cure the oil pressure
light after the run?

I don't honestly know mate, I just know it is recommended for
older / higher mileage petrol engines.
If the engine is worn it will help with the oil pressure but if
it is beyond that then it will be spannertime spdydnc
