Cute, Rai. I have a new granddaughter myself. She was born the
16th. I'll post photos of her and my grandson sometime.

These are my babies, the loves of my life. Crosby, 21 months,
Addison 4, and Caden 22 months. Addie and Caden live in Arizona
and I only get to see them in August and at Christmas. Crosby,
my little sweet pea, I get the privilige of watching him every
week. I so love being a Grandma (or mum-mum as Crosby says).
This, is what life is all about.

Darlene, my granddaughter's name is Addison also. We call her
Addie, too!
I also have a 9 month old grandson named Jackson.
I will get photos added soon. I love this grandma business.

They are all precious, ladies! My kids are 15 and 16, no
grandkids yet..I got a late start in life...have fun with them!

Val, it's a whole new twist on life. Hearing, "just wait until
you have grandkids" gets old very quickly, kind of like being in
your twenties and people asking "when are you getting married".
I have enjoyed being a Mom, and as well as mum-mum and wouldn't
trade it for the world. Sometimes I wish I could relive the 15
and 16 year old phase. Every day is/was such a gift with new
adventures to be had. Oh, there certainly are days......there
still are and always will be. But for me, the treat of having
the grandkids is I am not so uptight about getting things
"right", you learn to not sweat the small stuff, and couldn't
give two hoots about fingerprints or crud everywhere. My son
(Crosby's dad) is a single dad with 50% custody. I have helped
weekly 3-4 days/week for the last 21 months with Crosby and that
child has taken over my heart. Can you tell? Today is Crosby's
first day at day care, instead of with Grandma, and my heart
hurts but I know it is the best thing for him and my son. This
was almost as rough as sending the kids off to kindergareten for
the first time.
Linda, still waiting for those pictures! :) Rai, Callie is
beautiful! Both of you have the joy of new baby-itis. Never
had the privilege of girl babies (again, Addie is in AZ). I
probably would want to put them in ruffles and ringlets, and
with my luck they would be tomboys.
