Despite a low turnout (quite a few working away / on courses and
two off with Covid), I witnessed some high quality pool last
night.
Results:-
First round
Stuart Jones 3-2 Ron Kirby
Brett Matson 3-2 Andy Gilbert
Gwyn Jones 0-3 James Moore
Del Pryor 1-3 Rhys Piper
Ian Nash 3-0 Mark Needs
Jon Stevens 3-1 Russ Saggers
byes for Dan Jeffery and Reg Howson
Second round
Stuart Jones 0-3 Brett Matson
Dan Jeffery 2-3 James Moore
Reg Howson 1-3 Rhys Piper
Ian Nash 3-0 Jon Stevens
Congratulations go to these captains who have made it through to
the finals days in May:
Semi-finals
Brett Matson (Rayleigh Lanes Sports) vs James Moore (River
Rebels)
Rhys Piper (Rayleigh Lanes Lions) vs Ian Nash (Felsons)
Special mention goes to Reg Howson who wants it to be known that
as he was the last person knocked out in the quarter finals,
that he officially came fifth in the competition ::)
