       Would all members please be reminded that the only way to get a
       forum account is to contact us via the 'Contact Us' option on
       the website with your name (as it appears in your membership
       book), your membership number and your email address.
       If you create an account yourself with whatever name, it cannot
       be verified so will be rejected.  Nobody is suggesting you're an
       unfit member, we've had a vote and declared you an undesirable,
       or any other such nonsense - so please spare us the vitriolic
       emails of protestation.  If you get a rejection email, the only
       reason your account was rejected is because you went about
       getting one in the wrong way; nothing else...
