       I do a 12 x 12 traditional book to keep in the classroom. I
really wanted an easy way to do a 8 1/2 x 11 album to put in our
students notebook that they take turns taking home. Would be
handy to reprint if something happened to it. But this is
driving me crazy. There are wonderful free kits out there but
you need a program to run them from.... grrrrrrrrr!

Hey girls, I think you are so right about Photoshop, try the
Creative Memories Product, Scrapbook Creator 4. You can download
a trial, a version without all the bells and whistles for free.
It starts you out with page templates, that you insert your
photos into and you can add some embellies etc. I have used this
since the first version and it is easy.......... I tried Adobe
years ago and was so frustrated till I found CM's product. If
you get it,I will help you step by step. Once you are started,I
can give you tons of sites that offer freebies weekly. They have
galleries so you can see the product used, for ideas, etc. and
       they also have kits,embellies,templates,brushes,masks,alphas,and
on and on. for sale. In SBC4 you can use anything you have
downloaded until you get sick of it or whatever. Please somebody
try it so I can help you to learn how to create your pages. Once
you have your page,or pages completed you can print at home or
through which ever on-line printing you choose. Also you can
have hardcover albums printed or their new leather albums are
super wow. Several sizes, colors etc are available and you do the
engraving. How cool is that? Ok, I am out here waiting for
someone to take the plunge............ Tallulah, resend that
stuff it probably went to junk or spam mail...... Thanks....

Scrapmouse, I am not sure what sizes you can do with the
trial,if you make an album,it is saved on their website for a
year I think, that way copies can be ordered or you can direct
       family or friends to the site for copies{with your pw,of course}
My dd was off work with knee surg about a year ago and was
NWB,so she started with the trial, liked it and then quickly
bought the full version. She has made albums with both now and
it looks like she is mostly digital now. It is quick, versatile
and once you build your stash up,you will be amazed. Anything
       can be resized,recolored,cut,stitched etc.

Do a search for Story Book Creator 4 trial version. That page
asks you for name, e-mail and then you download it. It lists
the limitations that the trial version has.

Sharon, I use PSE at first it is a PITA but once you get the
hang of it it's fun. I still can't figure out how to do all
those fancy brushes like Pam, but she got me started on digi and
       I really love it.
I can try to help you with PSE. Maybe we can find a time when
the both of us can talk and go step by step. But remember I'm
       new also. ;D

I use Corel's printshop pro X2 and although it took a while for
me to learn, I find it easy now. i learn new things on it each
day. There are a lot of tutorials online that help you to use
the program that you have. Google them or look for ones on
youtube and then practice. Like all things it does take
practice to be good at it.
Here is a page I did about my daughter recently.
