I have been called too many times to remember. I served once in
a DUI trial, and got called 2 other times but it settled. I
don't mind it. I just hate going downtown.

Twice I had to go , and twice it settled, but
dang it - I have to go July 9th. I sure hope it gets settled.

They had numbers 1 - 1150 called; over 300 showed up. there
were that many excused or no shows.
I was called just before noon, there were 40 of us. it was a
criminal case, B & E and assault. we were given some
preliminary instructions. then released for lunch, told to be
back at 1:45. we waited outside the room for close to an hour.
the guard came out and told us our services were no longer
needed and we could report back to the jury room to be checked
out. In other words they settled.
it was a long day.

Peggy, what a waste of time. How many of those people had to
take a day off work for that??

I have been called to jury duty once that I can remember ... I
did not get picked and I was free to go at the end of the day.
