posting for tomorrow as I have jury duty and leaving early to
get downtown Orlando by 8:00.
my question is have you ever been called for jury duty? did you
get picked to serve?

this will be my 3rd time to be called in. I've never gotten
picked.

I have gotten picked more than a few times and a couple of times
picked. One actually went to trial - the other settled. It was
interesting.

yes, and yes.
and it was a horrible sexual abuse case on a child.
and they made the child sit on the bench and face the pervert to
retell her story.
and yes, I voted to send his butt to jail FOREVER!!!
it was his third offense, but we were not told that until after
the verdict came in.
I can't remember what his sentence actually wound up being.

I have NEVER done Jury Duty. Never even been called.

I have several times, but never have had to serve. Each time I
was excused because of having nursing children at the time. So,
it has been a long time since called.

Over the 30 plus years as an ER nurse,was called by grand jury
for questioning about cases involving ER pts., didn't like it,it
was like re-living a horror movie and usually on a day that
could have been spent loving life. Mostly rapes, ETOH,child
abuse and drug offenses,sometimes more serious stuff,but never
served on a jury. Most of the time,you are waiting in a court
house surrounded by some pretty questionable people and now you
can't have electronics while you wait. bluck!!!!
