Do you think scrapbooking is going out of style? Will you
always scrapbook?

I think it is but I hope NOT. I enjoy scrapping and hope that
the manufacturers stick around. I realize all "fads" ebb and
flow. I heard that Two Peas may be shutting down (gasp!).

Being someone who works in the retail part of the industry, I
don't see it going anywhere. Things are changing though. Classes
are less popular. Pocket Pages are becoming so very popular. But
so are mixed media pages. I think it will always be around, in
one form or another.
and I will keep doing it in one form or another.

I've been hearing this for 10 years.... it will just evolve and
come right back around. Everything does.
I have enough stash to last me into my next lifetime anyway!
lol

Everything has a cycle. Its a hobby where there is ebb and flow
and like anything else when times are tight, a hobby is the last
thing you worry about, and if we all admit it we can probably
scrap for the next ten years and hardly make a dent in our
stash. There are people I'm friends with that I have scrapped
with 8-10 years ago that were total diehards and online every
night and as far as I can tell no longer scrap. Why? burnout or
life get in the way and it doesn't seem as important as it used
to be.

I agree with you, Lynn. I think people cut out things like
scrapbooking when money gets tight. And it's not a cheap hobby.
As prices go up (pages were $1 to $2 when I started, now you
can easily spend $5 or more on a page), people just stop
creating scrapbooks. You are right about cycles, too. It will
come back stronger eventually.
