       Postcard Ideas

I recently found a scrapbook from my Mom that has postcards in
it from our vacations in 1960-1962.... Of course there is
       scotchtape on the corners......  ::)
Trying to come up with an idea to re-do this as those are my
memories as well. I haven't counted them yet, but most are
landscape and some (esp waterfalls) are portrait. Some have my
handwriting on the back and Mom never mailed! I really want to
       see both sides.
I don't remember this book, and not sure how I got it, unless it
was in with stuff Dad sent to me after she died.....
       Ideas ?????

I have a scrapbook that was my Grandmother's that has postcards
from the late 1800's to the early 1900's in it and I'm wondering
the same thing! Will be interesting to see what ideas you come
       up with!

I recently did an album of football recruitment memorabilia and
had lots of things that were 2 sided and important to see. I
used a lot of small photo corners to hold things . The things
in them can be removed and turned over. I also made a bunch of
shallow pockets for things. The pockets were 1/4 to 1/2inch
deep. They hold the papers and weren't overly obvious.
You could also design your pages on transparency sheets so both
sides of the postcards are visible.
Another option would be to cut away the background paper so the
writing on the back of the postcard is visible on the next page.
It would take some serious planning though.
       Good luck.

I use postcards a lot if I go places that do not allow me to
take photos. I scan the backs of them if there is something
there that I want to use and then print them off.
Otherwise I have made a pocket with a frame that I can slide the
postcard in and out of. I don't have a photo readily available
of the technique with a postcard, but this map was a similar
situation. The bright green "frame" is open at the top so I can
slide the map in and out as I need it.
