***Sunday UPDATE*** Puppy prayers needed, please!

So, yesterday was a normal day for our 13 yr old pup. He ate his
breakfast and went for a walk and did his business. He had some
carrots as a snack mid morning. (Carrots are a new snack for him
because he used to not like them.) I gave him a pinch, maybe
about 1/8 of a cup? He was fine all day yesterday, went for his
evening walk, did his business and ate his dinner.
We went to bed around 10PM. He seemed fine until around midnight
when he started pacing and panting quite a bit. We thought it
could be his leg, so I gave him pain meds for that. He finally
laid down and went to sleep for about an hour. Then, he started
coughing just a little like he was congested. (He has bad
allergies) So, I gave him Benadryl. I was told by the E vet that
it was okay to give him both meds at the same time, and we have
before, so that has nothing to do with it. He slept for about
another 45 min. to an hour, then laid there and panted almost
non-stop for at least another hour.
It's his abdomen. The Vet said when she barely touched it he
cried. His belly is distended. They are keeping him to run
tests.
We've had pets all of our lives, but this is our first dog as a
married couple. We have had him 12 years. We are so not ready
for this stage in his life. We just booked his favorite trip
this week to Telluride, CO. Let's pray that he is able to go.

****UPDATE:
It's his liver. He will stay at the vet through Monday. At that
point, we will know if the treatment they are giving him is
working or if it is cancer.
Please keep those prayers comin'!
***Sunday UPDATE:
The vet called this morning. He is doing well and "moving in a
positive direction". He's eating and going potty as he should
be. He is keeping his food down and his potty is pretty normal.
He still has some pain, but it is a little improved from
yesterday. They were hoping for no pain, but less is still
better than more.
The big decision day is tomorrow. He either comes home with oral
meds or has an ultra sound preformed as well as blood work to
see if the numbers have improved.
So, keep those prayers coming and the paws crossed for good news
for puppy AND mommy and daddy! :D

Oh Kisha! I hope they can figure out what is wrong and he'll be

Kisha, there are tears in my eyes for your pup. Hope he gets to
