Do you think your ready for a emerengy or should you get a plan
do you have a plan need a better plan ? Do you think could last
a few days without power ect....
Well I always have candles and canned goods but I should have a
better plan Like a box of stuff, When our power went out last
summer for 24hrs I had my great neice and nephew and an extra
dog in a small trailer it was hot hot hot. We did fine with food
but we ran out of water and lucky my husband was traveling home
and stopped and bought gallons of water and Ice. We were at the
lake so we could go down and cool off get water for flushing
ect....

The power goes out here often, that's why we bought a generator
right before Hurricane Floyd hit us years ago. I've used that
generator quite a few times since then! What I forget is
batteries for the flashlights. Generator will only run
refrigerator, freezer, TV and maybe one lamp.

We have a generator, but prior too, we have the pool for
flushing and quicky wash downs. I always try to keep extra water
on hand, and have non electric things like a can opener, coffee
pot, etc. Now we have the RV so that'll be a help as well.

Yep, we're ready. We have a large generator that will run the
fridge, tv, computer,etc. we also stockpile food and drinks
start of hurricane season. We're getting our first tropical
storm starting today, TS Andrea. Bring on the wAter -great for
the plants and grass.

During the ice storm of '98 we had no power for 10 days. We
borrowed a generator at about day 3. We now own a generator.
We didn't lose power during Hurricane Irene, but ds did so he
was able to borrow the generator from us as their son was born
during Irene & they certainly wanted power for when they brought
him home from the hospital.
