I saw Bread at the University of Delaware back in the 70's. Sat
right in front of the speakers and didn't hear a THING for days
afterwards!

then.

expensive!!

Oh I have been to alot of concerts in the 70s - Beach Boys, Eric
Clapton (Derek & the Dominoes) Iron Butterfly, Rush, Allman
Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Edgar Winters White Trash, Johnny
Winter, Seals & Croft, Elton John, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull,
Wishbone Ash, and lots more. With Stan, so probably be first I
ever bought was Dottie West, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, and a
couple years ago I saw The Oakridge Boys for free. My tax
software company brot them in for a Xmas show - for the
employees and any customers that wanted to come. Public could
pay to see the evening show. That was fun.
I think my first record with my own money was the marked down
copy of Paul Revere and the Raiders Christmas Album. My older
brother thought that that was SO stupid. He even mentioned it
for the 4,000,000th time not long ago! lol Then I started
buying 45s, then moved up to 33 1/3s when I was working at the
KornKettle in the mall. The record store always had the "band
of the week" album on sale, If they were ion town for a concert
especially. This was Gainesville, FL where the Univ of FL
Gators are. This guy that worked there had wirey hair, but the
most beautiful eyes - they were just mesmerizing with that
pretty blue. One day he came in to get a drink, and I had JUST
finished making cotton candy and was covered in it and he says -
oh I was gonna ask you to lunch! Never asked me for real. I
think I was 17. lol I think I have only seen 3 men with eyes
like that. A Corporal with the FL Highway Patrol in 1976, and a
tax client up here.
Well that was a fun trip down Memory Lane....lol

I've been buying my own records since my early teens (45's) with
babysitting money. The first concert I saw that I paid for
myself was KC & The Sunshine Band back in '77 or '78.
