Scroll down a bit through to the end of this blog post (by all
means READ IT if you're so desiring...)
I shall quote from the blog - because it struck a chord with me
today, probably because I'm having a poo-poo feeling time of
things in general and I needed something to drag me from the
quick-sand.
""One More Thing
This week, asI was planning this post, I rediscovered a
children's book, that seems to perfect to share here. I also
will probably not be able to write about it without getting a
little teary. The Dot is about a young girl, who, with an empty
sheet of paper at the end of art class declares to her teacher,
"I just CAN'T draw!" Her teacher tells her to simply make a mark
on her paper. Angrily, she jabs her marker to make one dot on
her page. "Now, sign it, please" says her teacher. When the
girl arrives next time, there is her dot, framed and hung up on
the wall. When she sees that, the girl proceeds to paint dots of
different sizes, and colors, and when the school art show rolls
around, there is a wall full of her paintings.
The moral of the story is, make something. Anything. See where
it takes you.
You can also take a look back, and see where you have been.""

Thus the art of playing - I agree and some of my best pages came
from slapping some paint on paper. because alas i can't draw but
i do it anyway. Just to show you how brave I am; snort. gasp.
guffaw. here's something i drew in my loosely termed art journal
about an amusing episode that happened at the jetty and my
camera happened to be in the RV. grrrr....

AND I actually posted it on my blog. I wish I could draw and
figure if I keep at it one day it'll miracuously happen.
Great post April!

OMG --- how perfect is this???? I have a LO that I finished
...uh...day before yesterday maybe -- with Gracie drawings on
it. I shall have to upload now (because I'm lazy and haven't
yet).

My good pal April did this caricature of me long time ago. I

THAT IS HILARIOUS. I was in charge of the bible school
arts/crafts class that year - every kid was making a photo frame
on one for the days -- and they were all getting their photos
taken. I of course had to make a sample frame and drew my own
photo...then the kids were all yammering about me making them
one too :|

These are hilarious pictures. THe googly eyed ones are recent
- the others are all at least 1-2 years old and I had them
hanging at my desk at my previous job. ESPECIALLY the stick
figure laughing...the detail on that cracks me up EVERY TIME ;)

That is soooo cool I too did one of Shane's art. Can't find the
page of course. HOwever I did write a hub about it. I know
you're surprised.

However, we digress.
It boils down to taking a blank sheet of paper and slapping
anything on it just to get the mojo rolling.
