Do you write your journaling in proper English, or do you write
       how you talk?
Have you ever used terms like, 'lol' or 'DH' in your journaling.

I saw this in a forum a while ago and I wanted to ask here.
I journal like I talk. Sometime, Monica get all mad (She's the
Grammar police) and makes me re-writing correctly, that's why I
try to journal when she's not around. ;D

i use proper language most of the time. But sometimes if it is a
funky layout, I use funky language. but i never use what I call
"text speak" such as LOL, DN, OMG, WTH, etc.

I write as a I talk - it shows personality and its more you than
stilted proper english. I also cross things out if I make a
mistake and continue on. I love cathy zielske from simple
scrapbooking. She wrote the book on journaling and Her
journaling totally rocks. I try to emulate not so much her style
but what and how she writes. Here's a sample

I have always been told that when people read things that I've
written, that it "sounds" like me. Over time, I've chosen to
take that as a compliment. I am a bit of a grammar
policeperson myself - but nowhere in the same zip code as I used
       to be.

I journal like I talk, it keeps it real.
Years from now when someone is looking at the albums, I want
       them to know "me".
