Not for me, but I have for my two oldest kids. The sad part is
that my uncle gave me a family tree on my fathers side of the
family for 7 generations and I lost it. I don't have the heart
to ask him again.

Anyhoo, YES. I did it in stages because I wanted to see the
names...I have the big one on ancestry.com and one saved on my
computer which reminds me I need to update.

My grandma's sister was the historian of the family and had made
a huge family history book for everyone at one point. It was
awesome. I made a "little tree" in each of the baby books for
my kids. Which is actually how Gracie got her name - Grace
Elizabeth - because it was both of my grandmothers' middle
names. Truly an AHA!! Epiphany moment ;)
