SBQOTD 11.12 and 11.13

So - being that I completely and totally forgot to be here
online yesterday - I am (once again) adding two part questions
to make up for my snafu ;)
These are probably things that we have asked and answered many
many times before -- but, bear with me, I'm living this right
now LOL
1. SCRAP SPACE: Do you have your own? or do you have to try
and keep your "stuff spread" to a minimum and share your space
with "actual living space"?
2. PURGING: Holy cow on a rope Batman... I've been doing this
all weekend (and part of last week) -- and I don't even know
about a question, I think #2 is more of a commentary of ... WOW
:P

Well, my space -once upon a time- was huge. a bedroom just for
"studio" space. I had photography stuff, scrap stuff, a kid
craft table, and more storage than I knew what to do with.
Then I moved...and again...and again - to where I currently am.
I am sharing a room with Steve LOL --- there's a TV hooked up to
his xbox, I guess this would be a "formal living room" if we
concerned ourselves with that kind of thing ;)
That being said, last week/this past weekend/yesterday and so
on...I have purged through my whole entire stash of crafty
EVERYTHING...it has been a ridiculous feeling process only
because of the sheer number of boxes/storage blahblahblah/etc
that I have moved from 3houses until it got here to it's resting
space.
All I know is --- the GirlScout troop that gracie's involved in
are going to be getting quite the donation of "stuff"...holy wow
do I have STUFF!

Well,I am endowed with a beautiful scrap space..not always but
for about 3 yrs.It is my dream come true and I am basking in all
its wonderfulness.
On the matter of purging,I love to purge,it gives me a sense of
cleansing,lol.. I purge with paper stuff and then run out and
buy more... I purge with digital stuff and then stay in and buy
more.It is part of the whole process,I guess.
I truly think that if I were confined to a small table and 3
items,I would still scrap..and continually work to come up with
ideas to use my 3 things.

WE all must be on the same cycle.Or its fall cleaning. I like
purging and it happens when style or circumstances change and I
continue to rearrange my area. Since I'm in the "living room" so
to speak I try to keep it down to a mild roar. I recently swept
away stuff I felt I "needed near me" to the closet because I
didn't use these items a lot. We'll see how much I raid the
closet.
My desk is alot cleaner, however, rearranged and I'm getting
used to that. WE'll see....

i currently have a small sun room to scrap in. I love the space,
large windows, a nice woodsy view behind the condo. Hawks
screeching past my window chasing squirrels. deer wandering by
at twilight and dawn. It's been great. But there is no storage
space at all. And the room is poorly insulated. so this from Oct
to March, it is generally COLD in here.
I am very excited that the house we are currently building has a
large third bedroom that has been ear tagged as my new scrap
studio. The light is great, it's upstairs away from all the
hubbub of the busy living spaces of the rest of the house. I
will miss the squirrels and the deer, but eventually the trees
will grow taller and maybe we will get some.
as for purging, do it all the time. still own too much!!

I have a scrap room/office all my own, but it is also the place
everyone tosses things if they don't know where to put them.
I seldom purge unless Katie is looking for something to use on a
project........then I'll go through and pull things out for her
to use. I also have come up with craft projects for Sunday
School and for Katie's school class room - so things get used no
matter what they are.

1. I took over the 4th bedroom in the house when DD#1 got
married. Could not imagine not having a scrap room (it doubles
as my office, computer is in there and all the
bills/correspondence that comes with life). I have 3 tables set
up, scrap on one and have "stuff" on the other two..... lol
2. Purge? I just went through my stash for the church crop we
had last weekend and parted with a few good things. I could
seriously go through it all and probably purge half of it, but
have no desire or time to do so. Maybe one day I will actually
use it all (if I don't buy anything else!!)
