September Potpourri

My very first Challenge!! I'm so excited, I hope you enjoy
trying it.
I was looking around Pinterest and something caught my eye. I
think they are quite popular now. I just HAD to try one! This
month's challenge is to do a Sunburst layout.
I found a very easy tutorial on the Bella Boulevard blog:

/> After several tries, I found (for me) it was much easier to
use
a few sheets of double sided paper in a paper line for the
sunbeams. I am not good at matching colors, and the
coordinating papers helped pull it together (I used Sassafrass
Lass). The hints she gave in the tutorial (such as doing the
corners first) really helped. After I had all the sunbeams
glued down, I took my Sharpie marker and drew all the stitching.
My photo and journalling went on the layout last.
There's a whole page of sunbursts on Pinterest!

You don't have to do a full page sunburst, you can do half a
page or even a card. Get those creative scrappy minds thinking!

OMG, LOVE, LOVE , LOVE your layout Sherrie and Joey is so
adorable!!! this looks like a fun technique and Sassafras is a
great line for it.

Great pic! Soooo Cute! Love the idea! You found something I have
never tried. Cant wait to give it a go. On vacation. Be 9 days
