[glow=red,2,300]Scragler Cup League Rules[/glow]
The Scragler Cup was created to provide its GMs an enjoyable
active League for committed NHL 14 users to play. The following
is a list of Rules and Expectations for League Members:
Settings and Commissioners:
League Commissioner: Mr-Mo-29
Assistant Commissioner: Butter_Nutsquash
Schedule period: 2 weeks with advances occurring Monday and
Thursday nights at approx. 10pm CST
Skill Level: Superstar
Game Style: **** Simulation
Period Length: 5 minutes
Season Tie Break: Continuous OT (no shoot-outs)
Waivers: Off
Injuries: On
Roster Management:
To spread out talent and prevent "hoarding". No keeping players
over 80 overall in minors. Only exceptions are grandfathered
long-term contracts (that came with your team and you didn't
trade for or negotiate) such as luongo's, m. streits, b.
Richards, b. campbells's etc.
After a trade has ben completed, it is expected that the GMs sit
the players involved in the trade until the next league advance
to avoid injury. Not doing so will result in the trade becoming
nullified/void, unless another arrangement is made between the
involved GMs.
League Forum and Chatzy Site
- The Leaue Forum provides Scragler Cup members an opportunity
to look over League Rules, give feedback, inform other members
of availability, Set your trade block and discuss league events.
It serves as a valuable tool for GMs and it is expected that
League members check into the forum regularly.
- The League chatzy site is located at:
HTML http://us10.chatzy.com/24086358675150
All GMs are expected to use the chatzy site when possible as it
brings another great aspect to the GM experience. The purpose of
the chat site is to enable GMs to communicate with one another
on aregular basis to talk league trades and availability as well
as keep up with current events. It is expected that all GMs show
respect for one another and offensive behaviour will not be
tolerated.
GM Activity and Availability
- The League requires its members reside in North America due to
scheduling issues created by different time zones
- It is also a requirement that all league members add their
fellow members to their PSN friend list
- Users must be active and play as many games as possible. If a
user is away for any period of time beyond 24 hours they are to
set their team to cpu and inform the league commissioner of
their absence. If a user is away on the last few hours prior to
an advance with games against other users left to play they may
be temporarily removed so those games can be played by other
users. This will most often occur when a team is set to cpu
control and the team's rosters are not adjusted by the cpu. The
team Manager will be alerted and they will be allowed to retake
control of their team upon their return. It is imperative that
the League Commish is informed of absences. GMs that are
consistently absent, don't respond to messages on the league
chat site or on psn, don't play games vs. cpu or don't inform
the Commissioner of absences will be removed.
Basic Rules and Expectations:
- Be respectful to your fellow GMs
- There is absolutely NO trading with CPU run teams
- Lagging and Quitting games will NOT be tolerated. If you quit
a game or it disconnects you are to speak with your opponent and
replay the game from where it left off with the score as it was
at the time of disconnect unless another agreement can be made
Conflict Resolution
Members are expected to be able to resolve conflicts with other
members in a polite, reasonable, and professional manner. The
commissioner or other league officials should be informed of any
issues or conflicts that cannot be resolved by the parties
involved. Each situation will be analyzed accordingly and the
appropriate action will be taken. If issues are unable to be
resolved the Commissioners will select neutral parties to vote
on a resolve to the issue.
Playoff Format and Schedule
The play-off schedule will consist of 3 days per playoff round
unless teams finish their games sooner. Arrangements can be made
to extend up to 1 day in extenuating circumstances which will be
voted on by a panel of league members. However, the expectation
is to complete playoff rounds in a timely manner so that those
GMs not involved can resume the league as soon as possible.
Players not responding to scheduling messages from opponents or
avoiding games will be removed so that the other team may play
the cpu.
Re-Sign and Free-Agency Schedule
Re-Sign and Free-Agency periods will commence with day 1 of each
consisting of 24 hours and the remaining periods of each
advancing in half day increments.
Sim Seasons (every 2nd season)
Regular Season and play-off games will be simmed during these
seasons. Simmed seasons will have a 24hr (up to 48hrs if
majority rule) break at the trade deadline to accommodate any
mid-season moves. Free-Agency and Re-sign periods will occur as
per normal.
- Other Rules may be added as necessary
