       Discussion of The Hopper manifesto

This thread is for discussion of The Hopper manifesto
       Here’s my starter for 10.
       (1) Publish online every so often. (E.g. “every few months”). No
fixed commitment to size or frequency.
       (2) Two weeks solving window. (Maybe communal in this forum -
       one thread per composition.)
       (3) Then publish detailed solutions into online issue.
       (4) Two weeks review window for comments and corrections.
       (5) Then create laminated pdf for posterity.
       (6) Problems should be top quality, but we emphasise solvable &
       pedagogical nature
       (7) Detailed solutions from composer are strongly encouraged.
(JF quote from Juraj Lorinc here.) To explain motivation &
       design decisions.
       (8) Link to glossary definition for any term.
       (9) Ensure text format of problems exists so all can be hoovered
       into databases very easily.
       (10) No commitment that any problem will be part of informal
tourney, but we will do our best. When an informal tourney is
scheduled, we will push judge to stick to the deadline he
       proposed.

For the link (8), I have made a definition page on the website
in which we can use the definitions of how each fairy piece,
       condition moves, etc.

This post discusses how to handle originals, assuming there's a
       section on them.
Problems that people are asked to solve should appear in some
section titled (say) "Problems for Solving". These should be of
quality sufficient for a satisfying solving experience. People
can submit solutions and preferably comments as well. This
should be done to the solutions editor.
When the time comes, all solutions and selected comments should
appear. When the time comes for everything to be set in stone
(or rather pdf) everything is placed in the same issue.
But there should be a difference between The Hopper's problem
set and that of a typical magazine. We will not be competing
       with other sources after all.
Some types (orthodox directmates and selfmates) are unlikely to
attract submissions, and can be filled with quoted problems that
people may submit or the column editor can select.
Fairy selections should represent a cross-section of the fairy
world. So there should be some with fairy pieces, others with
fairy rules, others which are basically orthodox, etc.
Retros should be represented by both classical retros and proof
games. Full explanations will be expected in classical retro
solutions, and we could grade people's answers.
No need for a ladder. But some recognition can be given to
       active solvers.
There should not be too many originals, since most of these
should be found in articles. But suitable originals that for
some reason can't be placed in articles could be allowed.
