       Here are some points to note for the World Championship in
       Composing for Individuals (WCCI) (extracted from point 4 in the
       announcement).
       A composer may submit to each section no more than 6 and no less
       than 4 compositions published in the defined three-year period.
       For informal tourneys the date of publication of the issue
       containing the composition is decisive; for formal tourneys the
       date of appearance of the award is decisive (NB: not the closing
       date of the tourney).
       If a composition has been published in a magazine which is
       labelled 2018 on the front but it appeared in 2019-2021, the
       composition is eligible for the 2019-21 WCCI.
       If a composition has been published in a magazine which is
       labelled 2021 on the front but it appeared in 2022, the
       composition is eligible for the 2019-21 WCCI provided that the
       magazine was published before the deadline.
       If a composition has been published in a magazine which is
       labelled 2022 on the front but it appeared in 2021, the
       composition is not eligible for the 2019-21 WCCI.
       If the date of publication is in doubt, the director should ask
       the composer for evidence.
       Time Schedule
       December 1, 2021: Announcement
       January 20, 2022 12 Midnight UTC: Deadline for the submission of
       entries to the director
       February 1, 2022: Entries and spreadsheets for the scores sent
       by email to the judges
       June 1, 2022: Judges’ marks sent to the director
       June 15, 2022: Provisional results sent to the Supervising Panel
       and to the WFCC president
       June 30, 2022: Final results published on the WFCC site
       We must observe the rules carefully to ensure that originals
       published in the first issue are eligible to take part.
       Originals should appear on the internet during December 2021,
       but the pdf issue may appear in early to mid January 2022 with
       the nominal date of December 2021.

       People who send originals to The Hopper will have to wait till
       the pdf actually appears before they can submit them to the
       director.
       This means that we can taunt poor unfortunates by delaying the
       release of the pdf till close to the deadline (Jan 20).
       Maybe one day I could take part.

       I would say it will still be much better if we publish the pdf
       issue by December 25th at latest to have some time for solving
       as people will be normally free during the Christmas holiday.
       Secondly, people would have time to send in the corrections to
       the problems!
