You have arrived, you and your crew have washed up on shore on
the rocky beach... beyond the beach, you see sand dunes, perhaps
a desert, or perhaps just natural dunes. The sea seems calm,
but you will not be protected from severe storms. You survey
your surroundings... you are on what appears to be the southern
shore of a large, unexplored island. North you see storm
clouds... perhaps it is colder in that direction. Also north,
you see a single large mountain, larger than any you can
recall... you feel a sense of fear take hold as you look at the
mountain. You look toward the western shore, it seems there are
a great many trees, perhaps a great forest? East you see what
looks to be great rocky plains and fields...perhaps something
moving (NOTE: Elves get bonus vision checks)?
Your crew needs orders... do you continue exploring or do you
set up camp here? You have enough materials to build one
building and enough food to last you for about 2 weeks. What do
you do?
