I'm going to use a free homework pass on this one. Briefly
though, we've lost seven out of our last eight games, a skid
that we haven't seen since 2018 – Boals' first season. We
followed that stretch by winning four of our next five,
including a win at UMBC just weeks before they made history, and
then a stunning win at Albany in the AE tournament. Let's see if
we have something like that in us late this year.
I, like you, have my doubts. A&T's a solid group. Woods found
himself a running mate in Watson, who's gone for 20 or more
points in four of the last five games, this after dropping 18 on
us in a two-point win last month. What's helped is his work from
the free throw line, hitting 33 of 37 (.892) since that point. I
like their balance overall.
It's worth noting, though, that ... we're actually close to as
healthy as we've been all year. This same rotation (albeit with
a slightly hobbled TSM) could've/should've won in the first
go-around. However, we've seen some bad basketball of late, and
some signs of coming off the rails. The effort's been pretty
good, but let's see if there's any improvement in execution.

Getting blown out again early. Policelli looks rough today.
Sidenote I like this announcer.

Didn't get to watch since I forgot the game was so early today.
Very glad we didn't just roll over and die after being down
23-10 in the first half. Great game from Fitzmorris, who almost
had his first double-double of his career at 14/9. Winning the
boards 49-34 was key.
We still really need to clean up the turnovers: 18 again today,
12 steals for AT&T. Could have been worse if we didn't
outrebound them and play good D on them today.

Nice win, just watched on replay. Fitz finally broke his
drought by taking the ball to the hole, and playing some D and
rebounding too. He needs to stay aggressive moving forward.
Pettway with some huge shots and Roberts doing some good things
on the court, minus his ball-handling TO's. I felt we should
have beaten AT&T the first time, short-handed and all.
Although we're in 7th now, only 1 game above the lower pack, and
the last 3 games to finish the season are brutal. Really need
at least 1 of the next 2 (Delaware and W&M), to avoid the 12/13
play-in.
Sam Niedermann is a really good announcer; I believe he does
the women's games for SBU.
