Haven’t been this excited for a game in a long time. Think it’s
just nice to see almost a sold out game back in the arena.. hope
the crowd is loud.. man if we can get a TSM breakaway dunk, I
think place will be rocking. Feels like forever I’m heading to
the bench for pregame dinner and drinks and then heading to the
arena.
Doesn’t seem that they have to many tickets left..
Stony Brook ML +185!!

Tailing you on the ML +185! Lets go Seawolves!

DD10, welcome to our board! Glad to have another CAA fanatic
around to chat. Thanks for your thoughts and im sure youll find
a lot of value on our forum. Looking forward to recurring
discussions with you.
With that said, our team has been through some recent turmoil,
only to start turning it around very recently. Best of luck to
you and your team but GO SB!!! ;D

Good write up. Not much to dispute. Williams can and should be a
force on the offensive side, but isnt. It is mostly due to the
offense we run and put him in, not because of his talent. Its
frustrating and constant talk amongst our fans. He will make
every team's night a rough one down low, he has that type of
impact. Conditioning still seems to be an issue and he does
still get the occasional game where he gets into early and often
foul trouble but when he is on the court his defensive presence
will be felt.
We are not a fun team to watch on offense. We dont have the
movement a team running at our pace should have. Its not good
basketball. But its been effective enough. By that I mean we
have taken care of teams we should but the higher calibur teams
we struggle against. Our shooting is unpredictable from night to
night, so that is always a wildcard. If we shoot well we will
always give ourselves a chance to win, but we will also go on
long scoring droughts that put us in a tough spot. Tonight is a
coin flip of a game, for sure. Welcome to the CAA for sure.

Thanks for chiming in from the Drexel perspective. In the times
I've seen you guys, I thought I saw a lot of motion, but maybe
this is coming from somebody who's used to stagnant offense from
Stony Brook. I feel like you get good looks at least. I think
Williams could be an 18-20 point guy, but I don't know if he's
even looking to do that. Only 10 shots a night? He reminds a
little of a thicker, better Max Brooks from Lowell – gifted but
more of a force defensively and on the glass than in the scoring
column.
One number that I didn't point out is how few threes that Drexel
is allowing teams to take and make. 85 opponent threes to our
154 opponent makes? That is a wild disparity.
I may start putting a few shekels (very low stakes) on every CAA
game just to see how it goes. Good start yesterday – 3-1 and
would've laid the 18 with Hofstra but I can't seem to bet NY
games. Can you? Is that a thing?
BTW, if we're talking crowds, this is a CAA regular season game.

There are times we look great with movement, there are other
times we have 2 guys standing in a corner doing nothing.
Williams could be that guy but we dont ask him to do so, and
realistically he cant if we have him at the elbow. If we parked
him down low he could easily be that 20 point guy, instead we
put him out of position on purpose, what that purpose is our
fans are baffled at yet.

If anybody going to the game tonight sees Heilbron can you ask
him if he has a contract and if he does when does it run
through. Let us know.

I want to get excited for this, but seeing Priore AND Heilbron
both get extensions has really removed any enthusiasm I had for
this athletic department. Nice to now have to pay for Flo to
catch a game tho.

Just saw Priore hanging out in the arena. Disturbing.
Pisses me off just seeing his face
