With Fitzmorris, Sarvan, Policelli etc our most obvious trait is
height so I don't know why we were jacking up so many threes to
begin with. Especially Sarvan, yeah he got lucky with 6 threes
against a D3 school so he got the green light since then? Nearly
40% of his made threes on the year came in the 2 D3 games. 6'11
guys with range don't come to us.

all true. use the height. especially when other teams dont
have it, and, we can't shoot.
give me a woodhouse, dougher, etc. and they can pull the
       trigger.
the math is so simple. im not sure anyone did it- until last
week. let's see if we can keep the totals down and if we play
well. even if we don't win, we are outpacing where we should
       be, considering the injuries.
fwiw, the past two coaching staffs did the same thing with
sturdivant, scott king, etc. it's confusing, i know.

Yesterday was an awesome sports day, wasn't it? Real nice to get
a W, even if some of our eyes might have been on football.
One of the best things I saw was how TSM served as our closer.
Even on an off day, he helped us finish the thing out. And it
looks like he has a spot he wants to get to—the free throw line
extended. We saw him feast on Wagner there, and in crunch time
yesterday, when he had his defender one on one at the top of the
key, he drove, elevated and stuck a 15 footer. His leaping
ability gets him a clear look every time I feel like.
As sensible as the last couple weeks have been, we should
prepare for 30+ threes on Thursday—I also don't really care what
happens on Thursday; just stay healthy. We can pound it inside
against, quite literally, the 334th, 340th and 343rd biggest
teams in America according to KenPom. We should see more
formidable size and athleticism at the rim in conference play,
albeit not significantly more so in a lot of cases.
Worth noting: That's three straight games where the opposition
has shot under 40 percent, this after allowing four straight
Division I opponents to shoot better than 45 percent. We're now
second best in the CAA in FG% against. Let's see if we can get
healthy and be able to play more man.
Standing O for Policelli. What an enormous effort yesterday. His
19 boards were the most in a game since Warney had 23 against
UMBC in March 2016, and it's the eighth most all time behind
guys like Dave Burda (25), Earl Keith (25), Greg Angrum (22),
Tommy Brenton (20) and Tom Blumbergs (20). Policelli had two
double-digit rebound games in two seasons, and now he's got six
before Christmas. It's exactly what this team has needed. Not to
be overlooked—he's 18 for 33 from three in his last six games
after starting out the year 5 for 24. Just awesome.
And give it up for Fitz, who came close to his first career
double double and had three blocks for the second straight game.
       A steady third option.
I'm happy for the guys. It's just so much easier to come back to
work the next day when you're winning.
