If he was truly given another 2 year extension from 22-24,
expect a mass exodus of players. There are some kids on here who
have asperation's of playing after college, Kids who came from
High schools as very talented players. It seems that this
program turns good players to either sit on the side lines or
ruins them by not further developing them.

Chair. What has become of you lately. I’ve known you for 10
years or more, but feel like you are giving this program way
more credit then they deserve, when you clearly are seeing what
is going on as we all do..
Coach P and SH are hacks, crooks, fraud. Giving them props is
doing an injustice to the kids, the fans, who support this
football program.

i just think that there is so much more to it, that coaches and
administrators know, than us armchair quarterbacks know. that's
all. they know their profession better than we do; just like
you know yours better than they do.
if it doesnt make sense, there's probably more to the story.

You don't need to know more than the fact that Coach P is 1-7
this year, went down 59-0 to our most hated rivals, who were
also a 1-6 team, and punted the first 4 games of the year by
starting inferior QBs on purpose. He is getting paid $500,000 a
year to go a terrible 12-23 during the 4-year extension that was
gifted to him after 2018. Attendance is cratering because of how
terrible this team has been since the extension. It is literally
the extension that Heilbron made that dug us into this hole. If
we part ways after 2018 and get a real head coach, we would not
be here right now!!!

North Alabama announces head coaching change: Chris Willis is
out with a 1-7 record this season, 20-34 in six overall;
associate head coach/offensive coordinator Ryan Held to serve as
interim head coach.
Previous FCS in-season changes: Josh Conklin (Wofford) & Doc
Gamble (UAPB).
Other FCS schools are making changes mid season. Nope, not SBU.
They reward coaches who perform badly with contract
extension!!!!

Yes, your last sentence makes sense., Welcome to NYS corrupt
swamp. This is why we all must vote red next week. The
corruption in this state runs up and down every state office,
all the way to SBU and SB Medicine. … Changes in all aspects of
state government, including the SUNY Chancellor must happen.

I totally agree.
If he signed a new contract, it probably wasn't the gift people
think it was. It could restructure his deal on more favorable
terms to Stony Brook possibly making it easier to remove him. It
could be he's transitioning to an administrative role like
Kornhauser did.

If what you are saying is true, then I rest my case about this
being about politics. SBU is willing to have two more years of a
losing season and losing players to transfer portals because of
a restructuring deal? Sounds like total corruption to me. That’s
not how it is supposed to work in the real world. If a coach is
underperforming, you fire his ass and find a new coach. Not
reward him with a two year, million Dollar offer, to set him up
for years later!! I mean, WTF?????
I rest my case!
