We’ll be there for the tailgating experience only. Gotta use
that $150 parking lot fee somehow

I know our Homecoming attendance has been trending upwards each
year.... I definitely think that reverses course this year. No
reason to be excited for this team. 0-6.... get the hell out.

You must be talking about another school. SB Homecoming
attendance has been going down tue last 5 years, not up. This
year will be the worst year yet.

I predict that Stony Brook students will continue to disappoint,
but that's a larger scope university problem than just the
athletic dept.

I'll be there. I'll try to enjoy the pre-game tailgate as much
as possible because I know the actual game is gonna be terrible.
I fully expect 0-7

Any chance we’ve been taken in by some ‘happy talk’ and haven’t
recruited very well for the last four years? The frosh QB
himself was VERY lightly recruited by other schools.
Fordham (!) seemed to have better players on BOTH sides of the
ball.

It's not just the students, the general alumni doesn't really
care about SB sports either. I know lots of SB grads (sports
fans) in their 40s and 50s living on LI and they think I'm crazy
whenever I mention SB sports...they could(n't) care less.
Same with Suffolk in general. There's no sense of interest with
SB...and I don't so much blame the school so much, that's just
Suffolk County for you.

I agree about Suffolk County. The Field of Dreams line “If you
build it they will come” doesn’t apply everywhere. I’d rather
see an athletic program that’s losing money (football in this
case) go back to D3 and use the money to strengthen academics.

I don’t believe that. Win games and people will show up. Do
stupid things like. Give huge contact extensions to coaches that
don’t deserve it then they won’t come..
