It's doable to keep good talent at the FCS level for at least
three years.
Villanova, JMU, etc in the CAA were able to keep pretty good QBs
at this level in recent years. There's never any guarantee that
going up the ladder will help. Build a good team and Lavalle
will fill up.
Maybe I'm reading too much into one game, but McKee really
impressed me. He looked poised well beyond his years. I think
SBU may FINALLY have the QB of the future. Again, I do not trust
his development to Priore who has not demonstrated any ability
to develop QB talent.
Priore has to go. This team is 0-5 and will probably win 1-2
games this year. Extending a coach with a season like this
should also mean Heilbron has to be fired.

This program has wasted so much potential it's not even funny.
10 years ago we would routinely beat Liberty and Coastal. Both
of those programs have moved to the FBS level and have been
ranked. We've beaten JMU in the past and were one of the few
teams in the CAA to even play them close. Now they've gone FBS
and I fully expect to see them in the AP Top 25 tomorrow
afternoon.
I'm sick of seeing this program waste all it's potential on a
failed coach with an outdated offense. Can his ass and give
Mckee a real coach so we have a chance. I shudder to think about
where we'd be had Fiore not been a total ass and been able to
keep this athletic program on the trajectory it was on when he
got canned.

Is it possible that when McKee was recruited, Coach P promised
to red shirt him a year? If not, I cannot see how anyone but
Mckee was the starter for game one...the skill level was obvious
by the fourth pass...not even close.

"I would like to congratulate coach Santos and New Hampshire for
the victory – they are a good football team. I thought we
competed really hard against a good football team. We made them
earn everything that they got and we got some things going in
the second half. I am proud of my team for how they came back
and accomplished their goals,"
Chuck is proud of his team.
Meanwhile, the fifth-string RB has one fewer TD pass than the
starting QB.

Not much of a controversy. Mckee is the guy. Only problem is
that it took us until week five to figure it out and now being
winless the season is out of reach. Even if we won out to finish
6-5 the CAA isn't what it once was. That will not get us an
at-large bid.

Sagarin has the CAA ranked 7th among FCS conferences. It may not
get any at-large bids this year.

I believe the reason we’re so low is that JMU left and new teams
came in however the FCS doesn’t use that poll when picking their
brackets for the tournament
By the way a way to find out if SBU is planning on making a
coaching change the Steering Committee would have to be involved
in exploring that option
When a player leaves a team for whatever reason the school has I
believe 48 hours to remove him from the roster. The roster that
is currently on the website still shows him as an active player
however not sure what their official roster shows
The 8 HS Players that committed for the 2023 Class are still
committed so that at least is still positive
