Bet Heilbron will be awfully quiet.... just pretend football
doesn't exist and focus on basketball (where we'll be mediocre
       at best).

LIU has won 4 games on the road to a winning record in the
Northeast conference. I would love nothing more to see SB and
LIU play, and LIU beats SB, under Priore regime.

on that note... maybe that could mean they are considering
dropping FB? probably not but its happening in other places.
       why not SB.

I could support that. Use the money saved to hire a top flight
hoops coach that SB couldn’t otherwise afford. Long Island will
never have the college FB fan base to make it worthwhile. If a
successful FB program like Hofstra realized that, SB should too.

       SJU too.
also look at any other local college. st. joes, adelphi, NY
tech, farmingdale, molloy, dowling, southhampton, SCCC, old
westbury, queens, st. francis, manhattan. no football. LIU is
"new" and is half in brooklyn (though i believe the team plays
       in nassau).
so that leaves merchant marine and nassau CC; not peers.
in the boroughs, columbia barely serves a product 100 blocks
north of campus. but there is wagner, fordham, and ASA
       brooklyn.

It’s not unreasonable to think these discussions of folding the
football program are being had if it’s a financial burden. It
would be a shame, but it would at least offer some logical basis
for why they retained Coach P (which many of us are searching
for). The program has been in a steady decline over several
years and the AD omitted this fact in his latest “Together We
Transform” letter. Instead, he made it all about this season.
Yet, this season was the culmination of mediocrity over several
years going back, in my opinion.

The transfer portal is hot already. Two prominent athletes just
entered the transfer portal today. As expected. Many more are
       expected to leave.
Good job you pos Priore and now, SH. You two single-handedly
       have destroyed this football program..

Good point, the decision to keep Priore may be an indication
there’s uncertainty about whether FB will continue…or be
terminated like Hofstra’s program. I’d rather have no FB than a
bottom dweller that siphons funds from more pressing priorities.

Who is leaving? It wouldn't surprise me if McKee leaves.

The Three that have entered the transfer portal that I know
about are Zamot ( because of covid might stiil get 2 seasons or
1), Campbell, DeVera but I would expect at least a dozen more
