Agreed- extending Priore before this season was just silly. Was
he worried Priore would get poached by another program?
Absolutely hilarious.
Priore has only one hope and that is hitting the transfer portal
hard to bring instant talent to this team. I find it hard to
believe that there is significantly more talent at WR than Shawn
Harris to be honest or Devera at TE. That seems like locker room
spin.
If the president of SBU has any hope of turning this athletic
program around, she needs to be ready to fire Heilbron and
Priore next year if the results aren't there.

Who burns a kids redshirt for one quarter of football in a
losing season? What ad would extend a coach with this record? A
lot of these players will tell you that training and the
conditioning was debatable since camp started.
Take away the kids you got early on when hofstra shut its
program down. what does that look like now?
The point about Priore getting those gifts from
Hofstra…Jackowlski and Maysonet(?)…is a valid one. They were 2
of the top 5 RBs (if not the two best) in all FCS and much of
Priore’s success during those years was due to Hofstra dropping
FB.

Every player has an exit interview with their position coach and
they express what’s important to them and the coach will tell
them where they fit in next year’s plans as an example SBU has a
very strong PK that’s a Freshman name Enda Kirby that’s on track
to take over all kicking next year so that made Angelo
expendable and with McKee he was told that Dryden would be the
starter next year and he would have to unseat him. As far as
DeVera and Harris go they have people in the program who are
just as good or better.
There will a new QB Coach from what I was told to improve the
passing game
Also expect more transfers then ever coming in next season
And if not then they’ll use injuries as an excuse for failure.
McKee and Devera are studs. McKee chose the wrong school to
improve and be groomed. He is going to be a stud somewhere else
Devera had three touchdowns and a few key catches. a big loss.
Mckee was one of the best kids to come out of LIHS football and
he made a mistake coming to Stonybrook. It is such a joke that
his redshirt was burned the way Chuck burned it. Why would a
coach do that? Desperation. Selfish. The games were much more
empty this year then they were half full in the stands. The
group of jerkoffs running the place dont have a clue. If they
did none of this would be happening.

How many female AD are out there in D1 college?
I would like to do a survey to see how many there are and how
successful there athletics are

She allowed Heilbron to extend chuck. she doesn't care.
Can someone start a thread listing the players who we know have
announced they are leaving so we can keep track in a thread?

Zamot quit the team, he is finished with school after this
semester. He did not enter the portal.
Priore SCREWED McKee, burned a year of his eligibility for
what......to be benched. When this guy doesn't like you or what
you do....he hurts you. He doesn't know how to leave someone in
to work out the bugs. All scholarships can end for anyone
entering the portal at the end of the semester and Priore WILL
end them. So if they have a change of heart or not picked up
they lost everything TEAM, Scholarship and any perks that go
along with it. Priore will NOT take them back. Walk-ons leaving
in droves.
Zamot did not quit the team and is in the portal. Priore cant
remove your scholarship if you are in the portal looking to
transfer.
[/quote
Sorry but your incorrect,
What happens to my current scholarship when I enter the Transfer
Portal? NCAA DI schools are allowed to cancel or reduce a
student's scholarship as early as the next term after a
student-athlete enters the Transfer Portal.
Do you lose your scholarship if you enter transfer portal?
Once you enter the transfer portal, your current school has the
right to void or reduce your scholarship and are not obligated
to keep you as on the team if you decide to stay. Schools are
also able to reduce/eliminate your scholarship for the next
academic term once you enter the transfer portal.
Zamot was told he was no longer a QB and going to be giving a
new position.....at that point he immediately left the team and
never returned with 3 games left....to me that's called quiting.
Priore can also remove a kids scholarship at any moment he
wants. If you have ever read a scholarship contract, it's all
spelled out clearly in it.

Not being disrespectful but I believe your "source" is clearly
misinforming you. Most likely because they know what is repeated
on this sight and others after they talk. There is NO exit
interview by the AD to players and returning players are also
not interviewed or given the time to express their opinion of
the head coach. Clearly laughable at best for them to tell you
that.
Reality: this program needs need blood with a fresh and
energetic optimistic view for the future. The program needs an
overhaul from the top down. The facilities are terrible. Players
literally shower with ROACHES running a long the floor. The gym
is a disgusting filthy germ infested den of filth that NEVER
gets cleaned. All teams use it and all teams share and infect
each other with illnesses due to it.

This is true at many schools but not all - some schools will
honor a scholarship offer as long as the student remains on the
team. Beyond that some coaches just don't revoke scholarships
from players. For example, I don't think Pikiell ever did this
for basketball performance, but Brown at Albany would do this
all the time.

I went to my source today and as far as SBU is concerned
including the starters who announced they are transferring, they
already have their replacements either on the current roster or
FBS transfers that are coming in. The Walk-ons that are leaving
weren’t considered scholarship players
Between the players who graduated and the transfers SBU will
have around 65-70 players returning from this year’s roster and
will add another 40 new players.
While we all think there is turmoil within the SBU Program the
AD interviewed returning players and coaches and that’s why
Coach P is returning because there was positive feedback
Your source, repeating the coaching staff's spin on how
disposable these kids were doesn't work. Its not a good look for
the program or your source. If coaches are pissing on the kids
who are leaving, they're admitting they recruited the wrong kids
or they are admitting they are that they suck at coaching and
assessing talent. I hope every recruit reads your post about how
the head coach and coaching staff are happy these kids are
leaving. Because you know it has nothing to do with the coach
the past 6 years. Your take that its the kids and not the
coaches is some take.
