Psssssh. I knew it. I knew it.
Geno went to the same high school as the Miami Hamilton
coach—didn't play together but between this and his kid being on
staff, the nepotism vibe is going strong. To give you an idea of
how serious the basketball is at Miami Hamilton, their coach is
also the VP of business development for some insurance company.

Drain the NYS swamp and this goes away. Two D3 schools on the
docket are disgusting and a joke for this university. But, what
else would you expect out of GF

Best case scenario, SBU is 2-4 by the time St. Joseph's comes to
town and could very well be 3-10 or 4-9 by the time CAA play
rolls around. Now there is a flip side, where things click very
early and they head into conference play 8-5 or better, but
       really don't see that happening.

I'm still completely baffled by the two non-D1 games. Miami
Hamilton better be paying us some good cash for that because
it's inexcusable. And I thought St. Joseph's was the A10 school
       at first.

       i think that's aaron clarke.
lets be patient guys; we are still in a pandemic, despite what
many think... scheduling is hard without a pandemic.

The Pandemic is over chairman. What schools are still realtering
their scheduling because of covid19?? And if some schools still
are not scheduling games and canceling traveling trips, then I
wouldn't want to play them anyway.

Say what you want about where we are with COVID, but we and
everyone else are traveling all over the country at this point.
Miami Hamilton is traveling a great distance to come here.
I began to think ... really, what's the difference between
playing Miami Hamilton versus, say, Tech or Molloy or John Jay
or whoever? The result's going to be the same—a complete
one-sided affair. So what's the difference what the name is on
the jersey? I have a bigger issue with the fact that we have
five OOC home games and two are total pushovers. Neither is an
exhibition. We're paying for them. The splash that I expected
from a change in conference didn't happen. Instead, the CAA era
opens with Miami Hamilton and St. Joe's at home. I would wager
it's the worst OOC home schedule we've had since going D-I, save
for that time we hosted literally only Cleveland State. To me,
       that's flabbergasting.
I also wondered yesterday (because this is what I wonder about)
whether we'll get URI here next year. That'd be a coup.

That’s a really bad home schedule. I was hoping to see less
NEC/MAAC, but this is worst and I would rather see Wagners/CCSUs
who would compete than these Div2 jokers.

just because people are travelling doesnt mean there isnt a
       pandemic.
but the point remains the same- let's be patient guys. the CAA
is a directionally-good move, so far.

This pandemic is no longer a threat. They are only threats in
states that are using this as a political tool. Like NYS,
California, Conn, Washington, etc. Sadly, SUNY schools are
dragged into it. But, even at SBU I don't see how this political
tool is affecting college sports anymore. Even within our super
liberal school. I just dont see it.
Maybe I am ignorant. But maybe you can point out where this
pandemic is still affecting college sports?.
