Looking ahead to 2022-23

We just locked up Aaron Clarke, a transfer from Sacred Heart.
Another veteran presence that will make an immediate impact in
the backcourt.
Depth chart updated. I moved Tykei to the frontcourt because
he’s feeling like a 3 for us. And TBH, he plays like one.

Those numbers look pretty good on paper, and he played in the
same conference as Jenkins so we already have a good benchmark
to use. Jenkins, however, did well in the America East. Is an
NEC star good enough to make it in the CAA? Geno seemed to
indicate that we would be getting transfers on the level of
Aaron Estrada (Oregon bench player -> CAA MVP at Hofstra).
Better not disappoint with that, but with his track record...

I think Clarke and Noll will be fine. They'll come here as elder
guards with a million games under their belts and at least be
solid contributors, if not starters. I wonder, though, who the
ball's going to in a big spot right now. Does the offense really
run through those guys or Tykei now? That seems like a stretch
for me. Who's THE guy? And are we going to be able to shoot it
OK?
Big day for transfers in the CAA, with two former four-star guys
joining Hampton (Nesbitt - Saint Louis) and A&T (Felton -
Arizona State).

You seem to sound pretty sure that Tykie will be back. The NBA
draft declaration is noise, but after the June draft, I'll be
looking intently at the draft portal. I hope he does stay.
Clarke and Noll are nice veteran additions, IMO. Need a few
more transfers to be competitive this coming season.

That occurred to me this morning. No guarantee whatsoever. He's
not much different than Roberts, who I consider gone.

Clarke and noll good adds like there assist numbers still gotta
think we try and get another big? Policelli is the only one on
the roster who’s proven anything unless you count Greene as a
forward which his rebounding numbers suggest. Do we really need
a guy to close out games I feel like that stuff works itself
out. Players take leaps all the time which i expect from TSM
Greene and Policelli. I could see a 3-5 ppg increase for all
those guys.

Rumors are circulating that Albany will be joining SBU in the

Barf. Disgusting if true, but I'll remain cautious.
It is a bad thing because the CAA move elevated us above Albany
in prestige. We can't be seen as at the same level in anything
as that hellhole.
