Looks like a quality pickup, and looks like he’s a PG.

Greene is gone. Apparently, declaring for the NBA draft, when
you know there's no shot, is the new, nice way of saying. I'm
leaving the university. The hits keep on hitting!!!!

Dean Noll, a graduate transfer guard from Cornell, committed to
SBU last night.

Doesn't mean he's necessarily gone. Of course, he's won't get
drafted, but may be using this as a resume stuffer, if he's
looking to play at a higher college level. At 6'2", he may have
a tough time selling himself as a rebounder to a P5 school.
Just IMO.
If he hits the transfer portal, then he's definitely leaving
SBU.

That’s not great at all but I’ll try not to overreact. He made
clear that he’s probably coming back. Since he’s not getting
drafted bar a miracle, unless he goes pro overseas now, he’ll be
back for his last year.
Anthony Lamb, a far more heralded player than Greene, did the
same and ended up getting nothing and coming right back.

Here's a highlight reel of Noll. He doesn't really jump off the
screen for me—I guess he's an off guard? who doesn't really
shoot it that well?—but you have to like that he was second team
All-Ivy. He'll have a role and probably a pretty big one.

The portal's victimized a number of teams ... but not really us
just yet, which is nice for a change (good old mid-season
attrition!). Elon and William & Mary have lost eight guys
apiece. Northeastern's down seven. Hofstra's down some key
pieces. Drexel lost its top two scorers. Delaware lost a stud
freshman. So teams are going to have a new look. Some notable
transfers coming into the CAA or just switching schools ...
4-star PF Noah Collier: Pitt --> William & Mary
4-star PF Ira Lee: GW --> Charleston (previously at Arizona)
3-star PF Eric van der Heijden: Ole Miss --> UNCW
3-star PF Nick Farrar: Charleston --> UNCW
Do we care about stars? Farrar's the only one who's really
produced at the college level. I'd take a shot at some of those
big school guys though. You see how Estrada went from a nobody
at Oregon to CAA POY at Hofstra.

Hopefully greene just wants feedback and returns. Noll maybe a
PG? Wouldn’t mind taking a swing on High major guy who didn’t
play much with ties to the nyc long island area . But guys like
that might just wanna get shots to go back up another level. The
sport is getting alarming transactional i think that turns off
fanbases.

Curbelo to St. John’s is really intriguing. Posh and now him at
PG, with Addae-Wusu and Mathis entrenched at SG? Pretty good.
Does that mean anything for Pinzon? I think he stays but
Curbelo’s going to eat up a lot of minutes.
